I never owned a goliath but "sparkling" sound and spitting, i would guess the chamber is flooded due to less wicking? Its like the subtank, if you wick very less, then it starts to "gargle" inside the chamber and once a while it spits on ur mouth

it should be as good as the derringer from the size of it, almost the same height from the deck to the top cap ceiling, minus the air flow.

nectar's air flow is from below, direct to the coils itself while derringer's airflow is from the front.

was looking for this for quite some time already due to great review as a flavor chaser dripper with bottom coil airflow...
