Any tips to wick?hehehe

yea the draw is super smooth. throat hit is nice and strong.
i running dual coil, nichrome 26ga 8wraps on 2,5mm. sitting at 0.29ohm.

i was saying nichrome's resistance count don increase as high as kanthal if u wrap identical coils. kinda translate to i have to wrap way more using nichrome to achieve lets say 1.0ohm compare to kanthal that require lesser wraps.

so far wicking seems ok i think, no flooding no spitback. jz the initial 1st refill it leaked a little.

but all and all, 8/10 i say for this baby

erm, i need to fine tune my wick a lil bit more to perfect it. but my method is jz tug a lil bit cotton to cover the 4 juice channels. put a few drops of liquid and tug them downward to allow the tail to be in contact with the juice

I don't know why you're aiming for 1.0 ohm dual coil. The coil will be very long with many wraps. You'll probably burn the cotton in the middle of the long coil because the wicking can't catch up.
Get some Kanthal to play with. I'm tired of all the coiling/wicking shit. I find Kanthal requires the least maintenance.

If you don't need to build that high, then don't waste your time. 7 to 10 wraps is my norm.
Wanna go super low ohms? Use fatter wires or 316L SS. 6 wrap dual coil 26awg 316L gives me 1.9ohm.

after third try..
ive finally made it..the cotton too short.i made it a little bit longer. i cut +- 3mm width japanese cotton

both are great.

Not sure what went wrong this time. Did all the same steps like yesterday for washing, rewick and dry burn. Only thing different this time is the cotton used is the one included by smok as compare to the general cotton ball from guardian. Anyone taste something funny after rewick before?

Andy, you using cotton ball from Guardian? If its not organic cotton then pesticides have been used on it. And if its super white then its been bleached.
Try to buy organic Muji cotton or something like that.

Yea, I believe those are bleached but the one came with my tfv4 are super white too. Saw those organic cotton will have atleast some black spot on it right? The funny thing is, I have no funny smell with the guardian cotton. Ever encounter something like this before mate?

Feels like throwing the whole thing out. Jokes aside, where can we get the muji cotton from?

My wick always cover the top hole on my TFV4 RBA. I push the cotton until I can see a bit outside of my Uwell Crown RBA making sure there is no hole. Never seen any leakage.

Best wick result for me is always double the width of the coil. Like 3mm coil means 6mm cotton width cut.
