Erm sorry to bother you sifus but i would like to ask about the current market price for a6000 body only with sony 50mm f1.8 lens.

And would this combination be better than the kit lens provided? Thanks

If you have to ask if a certain lens is better than another lens then it only tells me one thing : You DO NOT have enough experience with either lens. That means you really have to get out there and whatever lens you have until you know the answer for yourself.

Here's the deal : If you are just starting out and do not have much experience taking pics with a system camera then I suggest that you stick with the kit lens first. If you have enough budget, buy the 50mm lens too. Then you can experiment and find out which one you like better.

Chances are you will find out which focal length works best for you. It may not be 50mm for all you know. It may be some other focal length. If you shoot enough with the kit lens, you will find the answer for yourself.

Everyone has their own preferences so it is impossible to tell which lens is 'better'. You have to find that answer out for yourself.

Bright apertures are no indication of how 'good' a lens is. Brighter apertures e.g. f/1.8 or f/1.4 will give you more flexibility during low light situations but it does not mean that a good lens has to have a certain aperture rating. Also the ability to get more bokeh is no guarantee that a picture is good. It just means that you can defocus the background / foreground.

Dammit! I bought the wrong mount for my secondhand Samyang 14mm F2.8 ED AS IF UMC, bought the A-mount instead of the E-mount. I thought i saw Alpha 7   

Anybody wanna get it off my hands?
