Actually when I started watching this game, my first thought was "We are gonna screw this game up" when Giroud overbend his open shot to Fab. Sanchez wasn't there, he gave too many balls to the opponent, he should be rested. Shelvey was there roaming with Gomis distracting our CBs to open gaps for him and Montero. It was a good tactic to beat the team up until Giroud scored the first goal. *Was it me or everyone thought this striker is damn bloody good in set pieces?*
Campbell need more time to gel up his first team games. He wasn't perfect but he was very hardworking. I guess all fans didn't expect him to blossom into good form but just to be versatile substitute in the mean time.
All in all, it was a total Ozil show last night. It's kinda eye candy to watch him play in this kind of form week in week out .
Sad lost to be honest. Watched the highlights. How can the team concede so many soft goals in just first half? Especially the 5th goal, it was like 2 Bayern players against 5 Arsenal players? Shitty man. Like I said, Bayern wasn't playing at even on their par level at the Emirates. Realized we conceded few goals from Debubu side.
Good thing is Giroud still have his touch while Theo is away.
All in all is not as bad as we thought. We were only thinking to get 2 points from Bayern matched anticipating 2 draws, while now we have 3 instead of 2.....so it's not actually that bad I supposed.
The team really need to buck up and focus on this weekend's london derby
We were damn bloody lucky to get 1 pt form the game though. Lucky to have Gibbs equalized, Santi and Alexis were both obviously jaded and they gave away quite some possesion. Debuchy, I guess we as fans had enough of him being unfit and not really a great job. Even Flamini can play better. Joel Campbell not really a great deal, typical Arsenal type of dribbler but he can't run off the mark just like Theo.
Not sure to defend Giroud but those headers weren't easy to score, today just not his lucky day though.
last year was purely Alexis season, this season is about Ozil. Great deal, great buy and good patience to reap the harvest.
It's hard to find a super goalscorer like Henry, Ruud and etc, but it's even harder to find talent like Ozil no stop create chances and assists just like Cesc
The thing about alexis is he plays better with runner in front of him, striker that stretch the defense, open the space for him to cut inside. But right now we only have Giroud, who is too static. Take nothing from giroud though, he is good in what he does best (arial duel, hold up play, one touch pass etc), it just i dont think it suits alexis' style of play. Alexis needs theo/welbeck type of striker.
Also, he needs a rest. He looked knackered.
Agree with you bro. Same goes to Ozil, he was struggling to do his typical killer pass without Theo and Ox running around. Giroud is good lah but then Ozil and Alexis can't adapt that.
Damn it I miss Hector. Arsene need more roadrunners.
With what's available, I guess only Gibbs and Alexis will have to run while Giroud have to be marked tightly by the opponents in the coming games in order to succeed.
we missed the element of luck yesterday ... still it's november n we can still improve.
go gunners ... next game norwich.
Not really luck the way I see it. That exposes our weakness to the other 19 teams in the EPL without Coq in team. Overall the team is playing without any direction and morale. Without Theo, Ox and Rambo, the team seriously lack of creativity apart from Santi and Ozil pumping their through balls and diagonal crosses into the box while Giroud and Alexis being marked tightly. Campbell failed to prove himself to be suitable player in EPL and a player to be rely on the flank with his fancy close dribbling skills. Arteta been out from some games and he's reaching his time to hang up his boots.
Game against WBA was i guess one of the worst performance I've seen this season
Been a shitty month where the players are off for early Christmas...well at least we're not alone if we fail to qualify tonight... Just need to pray hard for Theo and Ramsey to on form while waiting for Alexis and Coq to come back
Proud to go thru this phase of ECL. Thought of watching it but too bad I need to OT until 2 am, can't afford to watch. Highlight looks good.
Giroud being sharp, Campbell seemed to improved alot but not sure his style of play suits EPL or not, he tends to dribble a lot at flank then low cross into the box often, reminded me of Hleb.
Best goal is the Ozil pass to Ramsey then cross to Giroud head into that narrow gap. Great stuff
