Hi guys,


I have been using kapok for more than 8 years (not even mine, my friend let me borrow it) Anyway, I am thinking to be dead serious on music (eg: to create musics/recording/basking maybe).

Fyi, my budget is less than 1k. My play style is something like Jason Mraz,Boyce Avenue, Bruno Mars, Creed, Disagree, Sixx AM(llife is beautiful is way so awesome) and more.

Basically, I am more to alternative rock/punk pop/pop rock and
my forte is singing/plucking and strumming.

I need advices on which brand of guitar should I be after to. At the moment, I am eyeing on Cort brand as their price can fit into my budget range.

i think u should go visit guitar stores and try.
cos main point is the necks vary in size etc so u need to find one ur comfortable holding and playing.
so u need to go try out more cos got so many brands from fender, yamaha, takamine and all feel different.

if u ask me what my preference, i would probably say epiphone dove or epiphone el-00 both at around rm1.1k.

cort is also pretty good value for money, unless ur brand conscious.

go try, if you have been playing for that long theres something you know you want and dont want

aim for taylor or martin..

True, I think I should try the guitar before purchasing as I was thinking to buy guitar via online which is not a good move.

you can go bentley in Damansara for better options, others to look at would be

CK and JS Music,
Swee Lee for their Epis

TGS, for farida and what not, i do recommend norman if they are in your budget.

Does that mean the Bentley shop in Damansara has more choices?

CORT guitar is really good with that price. try out CORT MR E or CORT MR600F (with hardcase ). i am fans of CORT =)

Recently I played A Nue Nue (Ukulele company now making guitars) in TGS

Quite impressive... you try it in TGS.. starting range from RM 969 onwards..
