Guys, I'm using iPhone 6plus with iOS9.1 but was unable to mirror Waze to my City HU. I've follow the instruction in 'Tips and Tricks" section n use App Radio app n the HU was able to connect to my phone but the HU screen show the blank wallpaper with no apps and I can't swipe the HU blank screen.
Anyone facing the same issue n has solution?
Thanks

update: I was able to install "SmartphoneConnection" app and can install some of the application in the app. Only after installation of the application in the app that the application will show on HU. However, i can't install the navigation app as it says it is not available in Malaysian store. Still can't use Waze though sad.gif

I've actually found a very simple way to mirror everything on my iphone to HU. It's right in front of me but some bugs in the HU firmware make me thought it is not functioning. You don't need to install any apps for this to work. What you need to do is as follow:

1. Power off your HU by pressing the power button on the top right of the HU and power it on again.
2. Connect your iphone to the HU HDMI port with Lightning Digital AV adapter.
3. Choose HDMI as the input mode from your HU screen.
4. DONE! In less than 5 seconds, your iphone screen is mirror to the HU.
5. For any reason that the HU can't detect your iphone, just power off and power on the HU then repeat step 2-4 above.

*The only cons for this method is that you can't control your iphone via HU. You will need to use iphone to swipe, select, pinch, etc. The HU is just like a normal TV.

I got 80K 7yrs loan for 2.55% from Ambank last few weeks.
What I heard is currently only Ambank offer as low as 2.55%, other banks have increase their rate and Ambank will soon follow too.

Even it is 2.55% for 7 years loan also considered high. Reason is you apply for RM80k loan which in turn pay more interest to them.
*
lol...bro, simple maths in 2 senarios:

Senario 1:
80K for 2.55% for 7yrs -----> total interest incurred is approx. 14K

Senario 2:
u wan save a little interest so dump in extra 15K
so 80K - 15K = RM65K
65K interest for 7yrs will be 2.7% (around that) so total interest incurred is approx. 12K

U save 2K over 7yrs by dumping in extra RM15 while never think of investing the RM15 in other investment which could bring u return more than 2K tongue.gif
Anyway, if ur too rich and dun mind to throw in the additional 15K to save the 2K over 7yrs then that's another story la biggrin.gif

Anyone who install the LED door side step for City? Did you all check whether the LED is really off when you close your door?
I've recently install for City and when i try to press the button on the pillar of the car (to simulate door shut), all 4 LED panels did not turn off.

Notice the LED will only dim when press the button and not really off
How much u pay for the installation?
*
Just called the car accessories shop and the boss told me that it's normal that the LED didn't turn off (just turn abit dim) if u press the button on the pillar.
Reason is that new car has a timer where the LED will auto off if u start ur engine or if u close and lock ur door.
Well, i guess he made his point as i already installed the LED door step since last week so if it really drain battery, mine already dead long ago tongue.gif
Anyway, remember when u hop into ur car, dun drag too long to start ur engine or forgot to lock ur car as LED will illuminated and drain ur battery smile.gif

I actually bought the set of 4 LED door step from TaoBao for RMB98 (around RM67). It can be self install as it's very simple.

If 1 day car remote Kong, open with key, then alarm activated? How lol..

FYI LED very save battery and don't drain much.. My Brosaga, door handle + legroom + below car all led turned on and he always left it on when yc.. at least 2 hr.. He start his car like mnormal..
Btw your installation is tapping wire method?
*
Remote kong, open wit key then alarm triggered then u hav to key in the unique code given to every city, it's a 4 digit numeric code n u should have it. Tis will deactivate the alarm smile.gif

The LED door step I bought is pretty much plug n play. All I need to do is to join all the 4 small sockets from each LED panel into a another big socket then the big socket into the factory-ready pin hole at fuse box there. N of course need to peel off the 3M double side tape to stick all 4 LED door step la tongue.gif

Engine off and door open, you see bright light.

Engine off and door close, will dim a little. will dim and off after 15 minutes if not lock the car. Off if lock the car.

Engine on and door open, bright light.

Engine on and door close will off.

Thanks haha bro. I am getting an E Spec, so if i want to have reverse camera, should i just change the HU r add on some normal camera with screen?
*
It depends on ur budget bro. Personally, i prefer changing the HU (whether to honda ori or OEM HU) then install the reverse camera la.
I saw someone post in this topic tat OEM HU for 2014 City cheapest is RM700 while honda ori V spec HU another forumer selling for RM1k++.

this is OBD automatic door lock
P - unlock
D - lock

all new city follow above regardless OBD brand, type, etc
*
bro, OBD has nothing to do with any brand, it stands for "On Board Diagnostics" smile.gif
It's a diagnostics port that most of the new cars have for mechanics to communicate with car system where they can program some parameters into your car system.
Your statement of "all new city follow above regardless OBD brand, type, etc" is incorrect sweat.gif
Different brand might have different methods of locking the car by sending pre-programmed signals through the OBD port to your car system to tell the system when and how the door should be lock smile.gif

QUOTE(Sh@rty 5 @ Nov 18 2015, 02:17 PM)
There are a few types of way to autolock works for city depending on module bought.
No doubt most in the market is P unlock D lock

But maybe the shop u went only sell that hence he told u that .

P.s if saying all works the same later skme other foryner simple buy from mudah or etc might not get what they thought it is . best to askthe shop or guy u r buying from to double confirm how the obd lock u r buying works
*
yup, there are a ot of brands which utilize OBD port to lock the car in many different ways, not only P=unlock, D=lock.

thought you want to proof I was wrong hehe... you were just making assumption I was wrong.. anyway
unless you or anyone in this forum uses different function of P/D obd for new city, please report here..

Haha of course I know u r wrong haha. Just tat did not explain much or post pix here cause later kena report as sales post hehe

But yes.. U can try to bank in the money we post it to u haha to prove urself wrong haha.  Because we do have city owners pming us for speed lock type instead of the d lock p unlock type

So just sharing so tat members do not have the mindset thinking all obd lock is the d lock p unlock ended up buying it and diy without confirming with seller wink.gif

Yes very light because you new with the car.. Soon you can get use to it.

I drove few cars which is hand-powered, hydraulic, electronic and even 4 wheeler. City is the lightest but after 1 year, for me all almost the same (except the hand-powered).
RCA for reverse camera follow the R gear. If you want to add 1 more, you can add the handbrake bypass which have the RCA input. You get extra input - AUX/Video. Normal got 8 input, after install got 9 input.

Great smile.gif
Normally where will the accessories shop people connects the reverse camera's RCA cable to?
and howmuch is the handbreak bypass wich has the RCA input?

P/S: u seems to have deep knowledge about cars bro notworthy.gif
