tachlio Please update content related to VNC or Honda Link.
currently I was able to get it work by using MirrorLink function that only support few smartphone.
Please refer to this : https://cert.mirrorlink.com/Productlisting/
If your phone is listed, then is MirrorLink capable.

Only using Data USB Cable, normally comes with phone box.
Thanks.

If you release your handbrake, still can see handphone's content on the HU's screen ?

v-spec, no particular petrol preference as long as RON95.

fully highway 100-120kmh, ECON mode OFF, manage to clocked >600km per full-tank, 17-18km/L.

on Penang city drive, a lot jams and traffic light, ECON mode OFF, only manage to clocked 300-400 per full-tank, 11-12 km/L

ECON mode ON or OFF doesn't make much difference on fuel consumption, but the POWER-feel hugh difference...LOLOL

Dear all,
My wife n I r plan to get a new car these two months and was shortlisted Honda City and Suprima.
Both are at close price range after discount.
May I know the expected 'kacau' that City will have? And what is the best offer around for the year end promo?
Thanks
*
kacau ?? maybe just some minor rattle noise from door panel or dashboard (CKD Malaysia assembly memang can't expect high)

Engine performance, handling wise, fuel consumption, so far so good for me thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Actually I like the kelisa lock where press brake or >20kmh will auto- lock.

Just imagine u are lady driver and driving alone, the first thing you got into car is press the brake to push-start the engine and auto-lock your door. (engine start + door lock)

Because some ladies after get into their car like to mess with this and that before driving off, and they often forgot to lock their doors.

By installing D-lock P-unlock doesn't help at all as these ladies just start the engines and not driving off yet (gear position still P, not D). This small interval of time is enough to let the strangers quickly open your car door, get into the car n rob you + your car altogether.

my car v-spec just a 2 months new car already got door panel (inside) rattling sound when drive on un-even roads......really shitty local assembly quality.

Anyone encounter the same issue? Did you ask the SC folks open up the door panel and check? Will it create more annoying rattling sounds after that ?

brothers & sisters, i got my car 2 weeks ago..found not good condition i got of my new City V Spec Modern Steel Metallic. Anyone face same issue with me?

1) every time when start engine, within 5 mins will have a sound "tack" 1 time, from engine part. I have check with SC, he said is normal, is activation of ABS Modulator. I wondering, every time activation sound so loud, till can feel a bit shaking at pedal there. I don't know your all City latest model, also have the same sound?

2) during air-cond fan going to stop, there's "kork" sound come out then following by the fan will stop. Every time heard this sound, is loud until sitting inside also can hear it. According to SC, the sound is from air-cond compressor & it's normal. It's true? you also also have this kind of sound & very loud till you all can hear when sitting inside?

3) rattling sound under my dashboard, inside of my odometer. It's so annoying, the sound come out once running on rough road or more worst condition road.
Today send in to SC for 3 days, open dashboard for checking & repair. It's my first time to open up dashboard for repair  sad.gif

4) Bad Soundproof. I was trade in my 10 years old city, feeling the old city have better soundproof compare with City V06. It's like i am driving my Myvi on the road !!
*
item (1) and (2) and (4) is absolutely normal. Nothing wrong.

Congratulations u got item (3): rattling sound, which is happen to 99% of the City owner (including me).

Well, that's is the quality of Malaysian CKD cars.....feel so sad. U just have to pray hard don't encounter more severe issue (engine / gearbox).

Bro, im facing the rattling sound from left front seat as well, dunno where exactly the rattling sound. However, recently i found the root cause of it, when u heard a rattling sound, try to press a bit at the area of the dome light which is above our left head. Give it a hold on to the cover of the roof just at the dome light area. Mine rattling sound gone after i insert a paper at the dome light to give it a push.

".....Mine rattling sound gone after i insert a paper at the dome light to give it a push...."

mind to take a photo and show us how u insert the paper at the dome light?

today I just found out my car 'tak tak tak' sound when drive on un-even road is coming from the dome light area also, looks like something is not properly fasten/tighten inside that area. But I duno how to insert the paper.

Sorry for the large picture as i uploaded it using mobile. This is the front view that we are facing. My paper a bit untidy and i juz simply insert it. Fold it a few times to thicken it.You guys could fold the paper nicer and insert it. Try place it left or right area of thr dome light until you find the sound dissapear or getting lesser. Please ask ur fren to insert for you while you are driving so you could identify it much easier and safer.

This is the back area whereby i insert 2 paper( coz it is not visible from the back so that ppl wont ask why u put the paperXD).

You guys could give a try if there is rattling sound out of nowhere.XD
*
thanks bro, my 'tak tak tak' sound comes from that area also.

I am reluctant to ask the SC to open up the roof cover to fix it....as I know typical Malaysian SC working style, you only got 50% chance to fix the problem, the other 50% is after open up u will hear more noise... rclxub.gif

hi sifu sifu,

when my handbrake is not release, i put R-gear, then i can see the rear view on my HU screen, does that mean they had installed the park-brake bypass for me?

(previously i had installed reverse camera on my City V-spec)

sifu-sifu,

normally at which mileage the SC will ask you to do tyre alignment+balancing ? Did the service manual booklet mention this?

When I bought my car, the SC put a remark on my service booklet "air-cond service on every 25000km, on customer expense". Did you all get this remark too ?

I drove 120km/h on the Penang Lim Chong Eu expressway the other day. At night without much traffic. To break in my engine(Not sure its still needed but heck I did it anyway.)
Sad to say it was kinda floaty at high speeds...and the steering is super light. It didn't have a solid feel to it.
I drove an accord before....altough the steering is also very light...it wasnt as floaty as City.
*
Lim Chong Eu expressway is damn floaty due to poor maintenance as some location are sinking. I never go beyond 100kmh on it.

Try Penang 2nd bridge or the PLUS highway. I tried ~150kmh then start to feel floaty.

Nowadays I feel disappointed with the service professionalism of the SC. My case is KAH MXTOR sg Pinang service center.

1. Normally when the car is built from factory, they normally inflate tire pressure it to 280 KPa. During my first 1000km checking, they suppose to check my to make sure it is 210/220 KPa. In fact they did not check it, I realize it was still 280KPa a few weeks later, and have to release the air myself in petrol station. (It is not fun to drive with over-inflated 280 KPa as the ride is bloody stiff!)

2. During my 10000km, they do wheel balancing+rotation+alignment. After 2 weeks when I go petrol station pump air, I realize all the wheel pressures is less than the standard 210/220 KPa (some tyre just 170 180 KPa!!). They suppose to inflate it to 210/220KPa before proceed with wheel balancing and alignment works. Obviously they didn't bother to check the tyre pressure, AGAIN.

SO SO disappointed with the so-called PROFESSIONAL service center work from them, a lot outside workshop is more PRO than them, and yet the service charge is cheaper! (they charge me rm63 for wheel balancing+rotation+alignment)

If we still have to re-check the tyre pressure, coolant level, engine oil level after coming back from service center? What for buy new car? Service center should give us peace of mind, not more headache checking this and that !
