Curious to know when cruising at 160km/h, what is the speed of the engine? Hope to get some info here as I have never test drove at the speed.

QUOTE(^Ware^wolf @ Oct 30 2015, 04:15 PM) Thanks for the feedback Hopefully 4,500r.p.m. would give you not less than 180km/h, despite less power at the wheel, but in return, it's going to contribute to better fuel efficiency when cruising at that speed. |

QUOTE(^Ware^wolf @ Oct 30 2015, 04:31 PM) i pay for my car instalment and wont drive like that to damage my TB and CVT...highest 160km/h for few times only ...\ I didn't know there is a potential transmission damage when the car is set to cruise at more than 160km/h.cruising at 180km/h with 4.5k RRP wont give u better FC ...u want better FC, drive around 120km/h with 2.5k RRP....that will give u good FC I had bad experience of driving at around 120km/h, well, I actually fell asleep Have you had any experience of driving at speed faster than 160km/h? May I know what is the engine speed beyond 160km/h? This post has been edited by J1@l_ l_l l\l: Oct 30 2015, 04:38 PM |

QUOTE(^Ware^wolf @ Oct 30 2015, 04:43 PM) for stock tyre GoodYear Excellence , not advisable to drive > 160km/h .... not stable... OIC, good to know that and thanks for the advice.around 3-3.3k ... u can drive at this speed , but bear in mind u will damage ur TB real soon , probably in less than 5yrs.... ur engine and cvt will wear faster ... Are you told by the Honda after sales service staff that by constantly driving at 160km/h or higher, the transmission will prone to failure? Is this a known issue on this model? |

QUOTE(^Ware^wolf @ Oct 30 2015, 04:58 PM) it is not a known issue or wat. common sense ....not to say prone to failure , higher wear and tear ... Ooo...may I know which specific component in the transmission you need to change more frequently if you constantly driving at speed of more than 160km/h due to higher wear and tear mentioned? |

QUOTE(nordingh @ Nov 19 2015, 11:28 AM) Off course can go faster. 190km/h is the cut off enabled in the ECU. Someone already tried, he can go up to 210km/h but drop to 190km/h because of the cut off. Some performance shop can disabled or bypass the cut off but not cheap. I don't think need to do also, you won't drive more than 190km/h everyday. Dangerous too. 210km/h downhill I believe shouldn't be any difficulty. Can you confirm if the speed is limited?QUOTE(nordingh @ Nov 19 2015, 11:28 AM) Tht's what I was referring to.QUOTE(nordingh @ Nov 19 2015, 11:28 AM) Good to know it's working. It's useful since there is no temperature gauge on the car. Any custom PID for this vehicle? |

QUOTE(y_boy @ Nov 20 2015, 09:34 AM) But I still remember i went there twice, honda vivahill right? went different time and two different SA, both look down at me. dont even have patient to promote QUOTE(exitsortie @ Nov 20 2015, 12:27 PM) haha i'm sorry to hear that buddy, i went there wearing just tshirt and jeans, not sure how i 'looked'. but the SA that i got was a helpful, youthful person. maybe it's just your luck Tht's why they can only be a salesman.I have been to few continentals ans parked my EX5 bike in front of their showroom and purposely pointing at my bike and ask them if it's OK to park right there, were OK. But went to one of the Japanese, once that fellar heard me saying I came with bike, the way he speaks seemed different. Next time, I think I might have to go with my granny's bicycle and park right in front of the showroom and let them think you can't afford. Primary school level people, they normally have this kinda attitude. |
