Last thread got closed, so I am starting a new one.

I'm looking to buy a hedgehog but doesn't seem like that are many breeders or babies for that matter in Johor.
Any recommendations?

Hi everyone. I'm new here, so I'm hoping if you could help me prepare for my future hedgehog. I'll be getting it on my birthday which is in two weeks. Plz reply, coz I'm afraid that I wouldn't be able to handle the whole new experience TQ 😊

Hi there. I've been looking at the different beddings for sale for a hedgehog that I'll soon be getting. So far I've come across chipsi brand soft wood shavings, pine wood palettes and paper palettes. I was wondering which one of these blessings would be an appropriate hedgie bedding. All comments and opinions are greatly appreciated. Thanksss😊

Don't use the wood chips. Try using the paper products (recycle type), which is available in the pet stores

I like Living World Fresh 'N Comfy. It's recycled newspaper based so is soft for burrowing and snuggling. Plus there is no chance of splinters. Also I find with the wood shavings/chips there is a lot of dust which makes my hoggies sneeze, that doesn't happen with the paper based ones. Also you can get it in a 50l bag so it lasts forever biggrin.gif

Better to find someone to take care. Even if the food stays ok what about water? You think the water will stay clean and fresh for 2 weeks.
Either find a reputable pet boarding service or a friend familiar with hoggies that you can trust.

Wow, that is new to me... I've never seen or heard of that kind of behaviour. Maybe he's scratching his body?

Btw, if anyone is looking for a hedgie to adopt, I have a post over in the adoption thread. PM me!

is this thread dead or there is V9?

I have several questions.
1. can hedgehog and guinea pig live together in the same cage?
2. what type of cage suited for a hedgehog? Close plastic cage or wire cage?
3. does hedgehog require a big size cage?
4. does hedgehog require a heating lamp?
5. I read here, bedding from recycling paper is preferable. any brand recommended?
6. which food brand is recommended.
7. what type of treats I should buy for them?
8. at what age is suitable to buy hedgehog?
9. any recommended seller?

Thank for your help cheers.gif

Hello, looks like the thread is not so active. Anybody can recommend a more active / recent thread eg, another forum or reddit etc, preferably Malaysian one on hedgehog.
