I would like to know is there a way to backup my files inside the laptop to portable hardisk using command line instead of copy and paste the files through and fro?
Only files can backup right, but not programs/software?

Another question, my laptop screen have 1 green and 1 red vertical line across, not sure why
Never drop my laptop before, the lines just appear from nowhere sad.gif

So scare my laptop suddenly died *touch woods*
Laptop model: Acer Aspire TimelineX 4830TG

Hi, for Windows to backup the applications as well it's best to use a "ghost" backup like Macrium Reflect: http://disk-imaging-software-review.toptenreviews.com/

Of all those listed I think there are free versions.
