Based on ur questions , may I ask add on question , is this your first conti experience?
1) u drive which model ? W205 pre- or facelift ? Adaptive suspension or Air Sus version?
2) Yeah , this is absolutely normal for Conti makes. Drive an Audi , BMW's all same based on my experience. They produce the nguuu sound. But it does ensure during your pressing brakes, stopping power is not compromised and inertia feeling is greatly reduced. Local / Jap / Hyundai makes all produce the usual screeching sound and inertia is badly felt in these makes.
3) Steering shaft. Normal. Becuz each time u go in and out of the car the whole steering column automatically have to adjust for you.
Cross checked some info too. Completely normal. Nice car required more time care and money to be taken care of, thats what you're buying for the experience.

1) Facelifted, adaptive, and the issue was apparently not enough lubricant for the suspension, SA took care of it after complaining. So if any owners here kena same issue... just bring back to mercedes lahh but need to leave 1 day to check.
2) Hmm I actually brought this up with SA and they say its normal. Relatively speaking, VWs surprisingly softer, it is there but more subtle. Older Mercedes softer as well. (e.g. w204) not so loud. Local/Jap/Hyundai those, I only really had exp with Corolla, that car was silent but then again i think it had only 2 disc.
3) This one personally... quite unacceptable lah, not because its broken but I had to bring back to Mercedes like 3 times to finally get the entire rack fixed/replace and now it is working perfectly again. If they solved it with 1 visit then its a different story.
