Hi. Anyone buy this Star Care maintenance plan from Mercedes before? I'm thinking to buy the 4-service plan. Worth it?

Hi. May I know if it is needed to add in the 'oil additive' every time we service the car? The service advisor will always add in during service. I did ask him before and he said although it is optional but not adding it will affect the engine. Please advise.
