Hi all,

I'll be getting my Diamond Silver C180 W205 in a couple of weeks & wanted to clarify a few things beforehand :-

1) Engine oil quantity the same as the C200,250,300 (i.e. 7x1L bottles) or lesser?
2) Anyone sticking to runflats once replaced?
3) Tinting mandatory or nay?; had bad experiences with workmanship on my previous rides where they manhandled the panels
4) If yes, which place would you recommend
5) Go with coating / skinning / self-polish and wax (Autoglym, Meguiars, etc)

Feel free to PM me with your replies - looking forwards towards making some new friends in the process too !

I think it does,my car just braked itself yesterday coz car in front suddenly decided stop beside road but did not brake to a halt tho

That's CPA+ (Collision Prevention Assist Plus)
Unfortunately, DAP (Distronic Plus) is only available for recond and custom CBU W205s.
All local CKD W205s - c180,200,250,300 & c350e (this one needs confirmation) don't have DAP.

See the links below to understand the difference between the 2 features :-

Then u can kiss goodbye to your warranty ! MBM changed my gearbox pins under warranty and it cost about 6-8 k as I was told! Without warranty, they will not respond to the road side assistance  should you need it ! Think twice bro! You paid for the warranty anyway!

+100 most sound advice ever given.

Unfortunately many luxury car owners fail to realize this until it's too late; if one really wants to mod, best do it after the warranty has lapsed.

Take for example the C350e's hybrid battery alone costs RM 60,000 & the each airmatic suspension is RM 15,000. LED High Performance headlamps are about RM 10k per piece while LED Intelligent headlamps are easily double.

Those with special arrangements with an SA from a particular SC are also at risk; since the final approver of warranty claims come from MBM.
So best to follow protocols and ensure all consented mods made by an SC have a paper trail.

Merc, like any foreign automaker will try to scrutinize the situation to their advantage, so it's best to use the car as originally intended - Luxury Sedan & not a Tuner.
