QUOTE(menggin @ Jun 14 2018, 04:46 PM) IMO, the only con of c350e for me is the weight of the electric motor and battery. Its weighing about extra 300kg compare to its siblings. Imagine if you are driving alone, you are like fetching another 4 adults weighing about 73kg each. Why worry about the weight of the car? U seldom need to fill petrol. But u need to always charge the car daily la.. Just drove up Genting yesterday. Can go up effortlessly.. Was tailgated by a Mistubishi lancer but cannot vroom vroom la coz my father-in-law was beside me and my kids and wife was behind. In the end, just let it pass. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « But i switch to sports mode. Follow the car and maintain our distance until he gave up and let me pass, lol.. My friend's borther in law just bought a C250 and feedback to me that the engine is very noisy. I told him that his car not a hybrid. But my car's engine will also roar like his when the hybrid battery have drop below < 20%. This post has been edited by lil_flank: Jun 18 2018, 04:24 PM

QUOTE(19 Degree South @ Jun 18 2018, 05:11 PM) I am sure you need to use some fuel when going up genting! Unless one travel less than 30km a day, fuel is still needed ! I am sure one could hardly hear any engine noise in the car cabin unless the car is revved ! Try to rev till redline and your 350e will also roar! Wt of the car increase the FC especially when revving hard! Thus it's a concerned by some and maybe not you coz you only drive less than 30km daily and light footed! Ofcoz fuel is needed la but not that much compare to non-hybrid/non plug-in hybrid vehicle. Probably c350e suits my wife and my usage better coz we normally drive around town area where there alot of traffic lights, schools and speed humps. Hence good FC and comfort ride. When i have the urge of need for speed, this car can fulfil my request. So best of both worlds. Sorry, i forgot to explain clearer. The engine sound is loud from the outside, not the inside when idle. So i told my friend's BIL that its not a concern la since the nvh of his C250 from the inside is quite good. I also pointed out that my car engine is also loud during idle when the battery is below around 20%.

QUOTE(D-Frog @ Jun 26 2018, 06:32 PM) Taking my car(c180) this weekend or next week. Any thing to check? Or special attention required? When u collect your car, your SA will explain almost all the functions of the car. From there u can check if everything is working properly. Besides that, just do the usual visual check, lamp check, etc.

QUOTE(prazole @ Jun 27 2018, 12:23 AM) Im having some issues with the keyless go system just on my 3rd day of having the car. Ón the driver side, sometimes it takes me few tries to lock or unlock the car. Im taking in for inspection soon.' Also today i notice my boot sensor not functioning (swipe ur foot to open the boot), it was when i tested during car delivery though. not big deal i guess they can iron these issue out for me. driving is very comfortable n exciting for me! the Burmester sound system is exccellent! Hopefully they can help u solve this issue. So far i havent encountered this issue. My C350e keyless entry can unlock almost instantly from all 4 doors which is very convenient compare to my other car. The boot is abit tricky. I usually swipe my leg to the front and back instead of left to right. So far, successful rate quite high, lol..

QUOTE(SithBuster @ Jul 2 2018, 03:06 PM) anyone tried c350e esave mode at city, drive to highway switch to hybrid mode and sport+ then do full acceleration. hows the speed like? I only did with sports and hybrid mode with around half the battery capacity. All i can say is quite fast when i do full acceleration coz most of the time the car i overtake or tailgating me is left far behind (probably 5-6 cars distance). I don't use sports+ coz i heard it deactivates the VSA/VSC. I don't use my car for drifting, lol..

QUOTE(prazole @ Jul 4 2018, 01:32 AM) I use comfort or sports mode, in sports mode it charges the car battery faster i guess because its power depend on the petrol combustion engine more. Acceleration in sports mode is really quick, you feel the wrapping effect where you are push back by the speed of the car. Set to Charge + comfort mode and go downhill from Genting charge even faster due to regenerative braking. From 10%+ to 90%+ by the time u reach the highway. Yes, i like the acceleration and stiffer suspension in sports mode. This post has been edited by lil_flank: Jul 4 2018, 08:15 AM

My car still in Hap Seng. They say i have another punctured tyre at the rear too. Just great. 3 punctured tyres in 6 months, zzz... This post has been edited by lil_flank: Jul 4 2018, 08:46 PM

QUOTE(prazole @ Jul 5 2018, 12:15 AM) what road you drive lah? but sometimes really bad luck. what you mean set to charge and comfort mode? how to do this? My wife drove it. According to her, it was probably she drove pass the newly repaired road which causes the puncture. I mean if u planning to go downhill from Genting, u can try setting the car mode to CHARGE and COMFORT. It will fully concentrate on charging your car battery. Since u will be applying your brakes more often due to multiple speed humps, your car battery will charge up in no time.

QUOTE(jimhorn @ Aug 30 2018, 12:07 PM) Very sad news to share for my C350e.. Since last Saturday, the car suddenly has no more cool air coming out from the aircond after having lunch for 1 hour and parked under a tree shade. Dropped the car on Monday in C&C PJ for inspection on what issue then technician called back said they can't figure out what's the problem as it's never been encountered before. Probably something to do with hybrid system not supplying power to the aircond compressor but not confirmed. They said will easily take 1 week+ to even find out what problem and god knows how long to fix it. Really unfortunate and disappointed with Merc's QC and that such a problem can occur to a 1+ year old car. Any current C350e owners please beware! Yikes.. Will take note. Thanks for sharing the awareness. Did they lend u a spare car? This post has been edited by lil_flank: Aug 30 2018, 04:28 PM

Will it void warranty if do outside? I also eager to know will it void the warranty coz i also face this issue 2 days ago. Currently i just bought the Mitsubishi CR2025N battery from Daiso and replace the Panasonic CR2025.

QUOTE(budakhops @ Feb 8 2019, 09:47 PM) Hi guys. My aunt is thinking of getting w205 to replace her 2011 crv. Noticed that at mbm website that there is no pricing for c350e at the website. Is it already discontinued? Talked with one of the salesman regarding the new C350e. There is still no news about the eev tax incentives. Therefore Merc dont have plans to bring in the new c350e yet.

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Sep 23 2019, 03:08 PM) Yes, its FOC if your car still have warranty. They changed both the front window glass to a dual layer type which is thinner in overall thickness. Tint also replaced for FOC. After replaced, noise has reduced. This post has been edited by lil_flank: Sep 26 2019, 09:16 AM

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Sep 26 2019, 10:14 AM) Wow thanks, i will made an inquiry about this in my next visit. I suggest u go back to the same Merc authorize dealer better. For my case, i bought my car in Cycle n carriage and the free tint was Permium Guard. HSS could change the windows for me but there will be no tinted included. Not to mention HSS does not have Permium Guard as their tint panel. So i went to Cycle n carriage, they changed the windows and tint FOC.

QUOTE(cloudwin @ Sep 17 2020, 11:16 AM) Any W205 owner change their run-flat tyre to normal tyre? read from Facebook news 1 of the C350e owner change 5 tyres in a year due to car run through potholes, bump and so on...tyre reviewer also keep commenting the run-flat tyres easily broken or explode and sometimes can even damaged the rim. So, should just trade in the run-flat tyres to normal when it still new? I changed 3 tyres and 2 rims within a year for the C350e.

QUOTE(cloudwin @ Sep 28 2020, 08:06 AM) omg....the rims were changed related to the RFT also? Based on the member above noted that not worthwhile to trade-in the RFT, my plan is just to use it for another year+ since the lifespan of the tyre is about 2 yrs only under normal usage. Yes, the puncture caused the rims to bent. Luckily I was able to claim through tyre insurance. I suggest u get a tyre insurance as well. This post has been edited by lil_flank: Sep 28 2020, 08:15 AM
