^ There are lots of Home Theater sets out there that accepts optical input from the consoles (and dolby digital decoding). Pretty cheap too. For games, get those with a huge subwoofer (e.g Logitech). I dare say my cheap setup sounds more punchy than String's system.

As for LCD monitors..do u think we can really tell a difference between 720p and 1080p on a 24" screen? My 360's VGA cable is gonna arrive next week from PA. I'll see if running GOW at 1080p makes any difference. Most likely not. Sigh..now all that's left is finding dough for a PS3.

well, u can always go for a 24" BenQ. 1080p and HDMI. Maybe next year?
