i think he meant super diver? i could be wrong la as i am saying that becausse he said cheeky as well.

anyway i am a juve fan and i think if the arguement is based on this year's lack of attendance and people watching (me included, i stopped watching edi until next season  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif ) i will say that Juve are an attraction. Main one? Debatable but I doubt anyone would argue that Juventus bring a certain degree of class to the Serie A.

as for totti? no offence chrisky, but i too am with platini on his opinion of totti.

if Totti fit the bil as 'super diver', i wonder how we catergorize some others players like u-know-who-lah. whistling.gif

as for Platini, oh no dont get me to start on it plz. rolleyes.gif

act diver is a subjective thing to say..Its hard to say who's a diver and who's not..Sumtimes da players do it on purpose and sumtimes they juz cant control their balance and was lucky enuff to be given a penalty..Anyone who wants to win owez tend to dive if there's a need for it esp durin desperate moments..I for once condemn diving but sumtimes its hard to judge such thing as if ur player was to dive one would juz say tat he used his 'brain'.. tongue.gif

Totti has owez been a winner and never accepts losing..Well most of da players out there hates losing anyways.. biggrin.gif However Totti is a bit 'egoistic' wen it comes to win or lose..He's determined to make his team no matter wat method is used.. rolleyes.gif

Its juz plain normal actually..Diving is becoming one of football's essential need..I mean
needs to win ofcuz..Its hard to curb but u can owez try..Putting technology stuffs on da pitch will only damage football as a whole..Imagine referees pause for every challenge committed...tat would make football much much more longer.. rclxub.gif (like wats happening to American games).. shocking.gif

I'm sure most players are trained nowadays to go down upon the slightest feeling of contact; no benefit to keep trying to go on.

Maybe referees should be allowed to exercise more judgment and not give free kicks for soft fouls. But then again this could lead to more players getting injured - Chicken and egg situation. rclxms.gif

Unless you have supremely creative and technically gifted players is it possible to win beautiful at the highest level?

The Bolton v Arsenal dillema;

Bolton, a weaker side on paper, Sam Allerdice gets 110% out of his team by playing direct football.

Arsenal meanwhile, a much stronger side on paper, Wenger can only get 100% at best out of his team by playing beautiful.

Does the 10% make a difference? You could argue the higher the level of football the less 'efficiency' you could get out of your team by tweaking the tactics.

where on earth does 110 percent come from? why cant we say that big sam takes 100 percent out of the players and others only can ooze 90 percent out of their players

Long ball merchants they may be but Bolton do play some nice stuff at times. The truth is they are a very physical side and likes to get stuck in and get into people's faces, which they did to great effect vs Liverpool and Arsenal. Flair players generally don't like being hustled around, Sam Allardyce knew that and his team are adept at doing that.

Oh back to topic.. I think tactical and technical wise Serie A is not that dull. I watch premiership more often but do watch Serie A also, they're alright..I think it is due to running tracks or fences that separates the pitch and the crowd, which makes atmosphere quite poor on tv at least.

To be honest seeing an Italian club play is kinda boring. Is true that they are too defensive minded to the game. But one thing I love from the Seria A is their stunning long-shots. It is bizzare, fantastic, impressive, C4, nuclear and what so ever to describe my admiration to their long-shots. Comentator is another factor that makes me wanna change the channel, you know "BORING!"
