My dad requires data plan. Now he doesn't need it often, so no point paying Rm30 a month, what we're looking for is like those 250MB per month plan or 50-100 MB per week. Has anyone done the math and figured out which telco , MVNO or not, offers the cheapest rate?
Also if its setup on recurring will be a lot easier.

Don't think you will get any cheap plan that gives 250MB per month. Unless your usage is a lot less, Maxis tablet plan is $30 for a year and 1GB free total. That is about 83MB per month. Or you add another $45 for additional 2GB for a year. That will bring the cost to $75 a year with around 250MB a month. No voice and SMS. https://www.hotlink.com.my/en/plans/hotlink-tablet-plan.htmlMaxis actually does not seem to want to promote it so the only place is get this is the Curve.

Just use #hotlink/diGi Smart Prepaid/Celcom Magic sim that came with free data. Slow it is, but it is free. Enough for light social messaging like WhatsApp.

QUOTE(spacelion @ Oct 24 2015, 10:04 AM) thats damn expensive for a 2nd line Can consider Hotlink Tablet Plan then, solely for data. At RM30 for 1GB valid for a year, you can either add another 1GB later on for RM25 which is valid for 60 days, or extend another 365 days with 2GB for RM45. Available at Maxis Centers.
