TS, quick question:

Inspiron 15-7559 > i5-6300HQ Q'core, GTX960m(4GB), 8GB, 1TB+8GB SSHD RM3999
VS
MSI PE60 6QE > i7-6700HQ, GTX960m(2GB), M2 PCIe slot RM4099

Which one is more preferable?
How big is the performance gap between the :
Graphic card > 4GB vs 2GB
Proc i5 vs i7
Extra M2 PCIe slot

*How much to upgrade the MSI from 4GB DDR4r to 8GB?

Open end games such as Witcher 3, Fallout and etc requires more vram compared to last year's triple A title.

i5 > i7, I think it's no brainer. i7 is always much better compared to i5 if both are in the same family generation.

Extra M.2 for SSD's = Very positive feature. Can easily add SSD without headache in the future.

FYI - Should strip the 7559 of that Hybrid and go full SSD if you are capable.

Would you buy the MSI or do you have any other options for 4K budget?

It's a very nice option to use two external monitors.

I would NOT get MSI for 1 very simple reason.

I run office work only laugh.gif

A rMBP will service me better in that area.

But if I am into gaming and all this stuffs on the go, MSI would be a good option unless you're looking to get customized laptop like Illegear / Clevo and etc.

I remembered there are better deals from Singapore or US, but you'll lose out on the warranty and exchange rates are crappy for the time being.

IC. Tq for you respond.

Any other valuable insight whether MSI MSI PE60 6QE would be a good buy for RM4K?

Hey, I'm using MSI PE 6QE. So far so good but I have a major problem with it which is the screen. Mind u, the screen is not IPS, its a cheaper variant compared to the last generation PE60. The viewing angle is really bad horizontally, but vertically, not bad for a non-ips display.

Thank you for your valuable insight. Somehow I missed the fact that the monitor is not IPS.

After a few days comparing different models of laptop, I'm thinking of purchase a Illegear Z5.
