The concept its same like sky lake processor, the performance its not a major point for Intel to highlight singlely, in fact, the efficiency and power consumption =), furthermore with the future pricing for ddr 4 vs obsoleted ddr 3?
Yeah, not much laptops have usb type c, if u can pay similar pricing but can get , why not ?
For the vram gpu, 4gb vs 2gb in mid range card really have lead u higher performance ?=)
i do agree with you skylake is about power efficiency. But DDR3 won't be obsolete so fast, at least in2 years time.
Let me ask u, a gamer who have certain requirement and adapting gtx960m, will they stick to a machine forever?
Answer is no. over 70% of the gamer will change their machine after 2-3 years of using. So that mean the factor of memory doesn't really do much affection now. And i do believe Dell will upgrade the spec to DDR4 by next year.
ahah. Talk about GPU MEMORY size, Yea, alot of benchmark say 2G or 4G doesn't affect game play. But the fact is, there are more and more titles which can rely on the GPU memory.
Taking example the very recent released title - FALLOUT 4 or older GTA 5. a GTX970m with 3G vs GTX970M with 6G will do quite significant difference that the latter can push the graphic detail better.
