ya but it just 3 cell,  don't expect the battery capacity is high as well laugh.gif

7559 using 75wh capacity and i5 had no HT compare to i7

other manufacture, if they like to include DVD room so battery will sacrifice.

You check dell alienware, even though is i7 but battery life is >7h

Anyhow, gaming shall not use battery for sure.

@evofantasy
Yes, cell is not sure related to wh
But as normal practice, space do.

Those China powerbank sometime so small but with so big capacity is BS...
Technology will change but what you paid is what you get, dont expect sudden change on it.

Thank you for your valuable insight. Somehow I missed the fact that the monitor is not IPS.

After a few days comparing different models of laptop, I'm thinking of purchase a Illegear Z5.
*
Maybe you can check with Illegear they IPS panel type.

They mention Wide Angle & 100% sRGB coverage, here is some good panel type example.

DOS, trying to keep the price low as I have other commitments and I have a copy of W10 waiting to get activated.

Dell 7559 seems like the best choice here for me but I will still need to top up like 300-400 for a SSD, while the rest are ranging 4.5k ish

How is the 6300hq vs the 6700hq? Mainly is for browsing, media consumption, and  gaming. Not gonna do heavy rendering jobs, at most will be some Lightroom and Photoshop.

+bit of background with my current setup
Am a desktop guy but due to the need of relocation, I have to downsize to a laptop.
Currently using i5-4570 and a GTX970 in my PC.
*
i7 on laptop will around i5@desktop, but I heard some good review on this i5 6300HQ as it 4C/4T

For GC laptop totally unable to compete with your GTX970 no matter Acer/Dell you bought with 960m

I would like go for better heat dispute when your palm rest on top of it, as you going to using for long period

So how do I order a DOS Dell Inspiron i7599? Is it from dell.com.my?
--> Yes / Check GS / PM Strom88

Can I too customise my purchase with ssd and ram addon on the website?
Check back previous post, as long as you not damaging other stuff during installation, other component warranty still valid

Is the warranty covered internationally?
Why not you go Dell.com.my ask the CS?

Hope this help smile.gif

I just called their 1800 number, the lady said they only sell it with windows installed, OEM OS must be installed to have software warranty. dell inspiron 7599 8gb ram 1tb hdd 960m 4gb, RM3999.
*
Yes, dell official web only sell with Window but GS do sell with DOS.

What is the problem to use legit OS on DOS 7559? I dont see the issue.

Sorry, but what does GS mean?

And also, I want to know, is there two versions of 7559? one with hybrid hdd + ssd, the other one with just regular hdd. If I buy the one with just regular hdd, can I addon ssd myself later on? Or do they have different disc drive docks?
*
GS > Garage Sales section.

Hybrid HDD and regular HDD is using 2.5" bay

SSD is using M.2 slot.

As long as your M2 slot is empty, you can add SSD anytime

QUOTE(ai_m @ Jan 7 2016, 08:54 PM)
Hi, is there anyone here have experienced laptop return to dell? When i read dell return policy, it stated if within 14days, i can return the products to dell. Have anyone here done that?

Want to try test the Dell 7559 UHD first, if i dont satisfy with it (battery, performance, etc) then i will return and try the i7 FHD. If still dont satisfy i will return for good and buy something else.

/backstory start/
I am using now Acer V Nitro (i7-4710HQ, 12GB ram, 128gb M.2, GTX860m) and because i am quitting my current job in 1 month time, i will need to find another laptop for my new work and personal media+gaming. I already got used to have powerful laptop with slim design and still looks like normal laptop (alienware/msi is too gaming centric design and i hate that design).
Subtle design like Lenovo Y40/Y50/Y700, Acer V Nitro, Dell 7559, looks like normal working laptop, then can gaming. This is godly laptop for me.
*
Those service only apply on develop country like states, they can return if not statify.

If same policy apply on ASIA country, many "educated" people will miss use.
Lets see when Msia citizen can improve on this

I do watch peoples blog (a US citizen), he did bought 2 dell laptop (one with some config, then another one with slightly different config) and then after reviewing both of them, decided to take the 2nd config then return the first one.
This system has been used (or abused?) a lot ot times in the land of freedom and land above freedom.

I dunno how dell malaysia policy. That is why I asked first.

Anywhere will had same issue, just Asia country the happening rate is sweat.gif

And those country, their consumer right is protected.

Beware of Nvida 364.47/.51

My lightroom crash after update, now download back 362.00 version, which serve me just right.

hi all sifus,

please advice:

- Preferred brand: Asus/Acer/Lenovo/Dell/MSI
- Budget: ~4.5K
- Usage: Heavy photoshop and 3D rendering, multimedia, browsing, and assignments.
- Prefer: Light (will be travelling a lot and the user is a female), no more than 15.6" screen, decent specs and screen display since the laptop will be used to render very frequently (design student), durability will be a plus.

Thank you!

With the unification of product names, Nvidia's desktop and notebook GPUs with the same name will have equal performance. In the past, Nvidia's notebook graphics cards typically had weaker performance than their desktop counterparts.
