However I saw from HP MY website, it says that this model does come with HDMI to VGA adapter USB External DVDRW & USB Type-C™ to USB 3.0 adapter. Anyone can confirm this? And does the new Omen series comes with a backpack or carrying bag? Model : 15-ce030tx (2GD19PA)

QUOTE(ytlay @ Jun 24 2017, 05:23 PM) Acer updates... Im quite surprise that Acer prompt to lineup their new budget gaming model Nitro 5 with GTX1050 & Aspire 5 with MX150 or RX540, as they previously launched their VX5 quite slow. Now, Nitro 5 will compete with Y520@3299. Wish Acer/Lenovo will bring the budget friendly laptop with i5/GTX1050Ti to us. Entry level Pascal GPU GeForce MX150 is the sucessor of GT940mx, both consump around the same power but MX150 estimate to perform between GTX950m & GTX960m according to notebookcheck. We expect major OEMs will start refreshing their laptop soon. Looking forward for Ryzen laptops to compete with Intel laptops. Glad to see that AMD start lineup their laptop with Polaris GPU RX540. Refer to post#1 for latest laptop catalog. | Aspire 5 A515-41G-17E9 | A12-9720P, RX540(GDDR5), 15.6" FHD matte | 4GB DDR4, 1TB, W10, USB-C | 2549 | | Aspire 5 A515-51G-55A5 | i5-7200U, MX150(GDDR5), 15.6" FHD matte | 4GB DDR4, 1TB, W10, USB-C | 2639 | | Aspire 5 A515-51G-713G | i7-7500U, MX150(GDDR5), 15.6" IPS FHD matte | 4GB DDR4, 1TB, W10, USB-C | 3299 | | Nitro 5 AN515-51-59XR | i5-7300HQ, GTX1050(2GB), 15.6" IPS FHD | 4GB DDR4, 1TB, W10, red backlit KB, USB3.1-C, M.2 PCIe Gen3x4 slot | 3299 |
Acer Nitro 5 i want to ask that the Acer Nitro 5 M.2 PCIe Gen3x4 slot doesn't mean it support NVME protocol right ? Does it just means it will have more bandwidth for the SSD right when compare to Gen3x1 ? or does it mean it support m.2 sata and NVME at the same time and anyone have the internal layout of Acer Nitro 5 i am bit scare of thermals ... update : i found this http://www.ultrabookreview.com/16445-acer-nitro-5-review/This post has been edited by limtenggen: Jul 28 2017, 01:09 PM

QUOTE(edmund_yung @ Aug 22 2017, 09:14 AM) I guess that "mech keyboard" is a RM500 price premium I doubt that, its look just same like commonly msi steel series keyboard, unless its more ubiquitous Cherry MX (or Kailh) ones.

QUOTE(Slick69 @ Aug 22 2017, 03:40 PM) Holyshit, thatsoundsnice🙃 It's definitely not a real mechanical keyboard at that thinness. That physically impossible, but I'm sure it's good enough. Kinda like msi "ips level" tn panel Hi slick69, That's real laptop mechanical switch developed internally, and it's definitely possible to put mechanical switch despite the thickness. Our IPS display is real IPS though.

if taken out the mechanical keyboard, just use a normal keyboard and bump up in other area like a SSD drive or even a GTX1050ti, it would have taken the market of budget gaming laptop by storm.

I do think it is a good idea to use mechanical keyboard as to differentiate from the rest of budget 1050ti laptop. However I suggest they make one with 1060.
