Try to check cpu/gpu temperature.
Check your task manager too if something else running in background and hogging resources.

Getting Started

|
usually happens when temps too high, your hardware will slow itself down. after having stable temp, it'll work at full again albeit only for awhile cuz it'll get hot all over again.
do dust cleanup esp if you're using laptops, get a cooling solution.

There were 2 forummers who pointed out it was temperature issues but you said: QUOTE nothing it will keep lag for few minutes then its back to normal then its will lag again after few minutes Did you even check your temperature?

And why do you need a new HSF? All you need to do is to clean it if it's really dusty or change the thermal paste. That's all

That's all Well, E8400 run quite hot on stock Intel cooler anyway. I had the slightly faster E8500 and it does run quite hot on full load. Almost 80C if I tried Prime. That's not even a dirty cooler.

80C? Even my AMD Phenom II x4 is below 60C on max load. Improper thermal paste maybe.
