QUOTE(kelvin988 @ Dec 2 2015, 10:40 PM) anyone updated 5.1.1?? how does it perform compare to previous version?? Quite happy with the performance and battery life. Watched almost 2 hours of Flash/Gotham last night. It's almost noon now and I still have 39% of battery life left. When I first got this phone I hated the app switching speed (triggered from the left capacitive button) and it always lagged. But with each Samsung update it's definitely better and is now instant. I am using Nova Launcher, and not the default Samsung launcher.

QUOTE(mtxx @ Dec 3 2015, 03:13 PM) the recent app button speed is a problem in kitkat and was fixed in lollipop. Using stock samsung launcher does not affect the recent app button speed Sorry, didn't mean to imply the launcher affected the recent apps. I just meant all my testing and daily usage is based on Nova Launcher. I just prefer Nova Launcher, even on my Nexus 5.

I will wait for Marshmallow reviews before updating. After updating my Nexus 5 to Marshmallow, I've experienced WiFi drain (even when WiFi is turned off) and USB connection problems (file transfer especially). I think Samsung has better QA than LG/Google so hopefully the Nexus 5 Marshmallow problems are just Nexus 5 problems.

QUOTE(shenglimzdavid @ Apr 3 2016, 04:40 PM) -Out Of Topic Question- Did your nexus 5 have GPS failures after updating to Marshmallow? I found that mine locked onto Waze momentarily before it disconnected. Google Maps and other positioning services failed too Quite disappointed with Google after research turns up that it affects other nexus devices too Never had any Location problems. I'm not sure if it's the same as GPS problems, because I think I always have WiFi or Data on so the network helps triangulates it. But yeah Google Maps and other apps that use Location seem to work okay for me.

I have not upgraded to Marshmallow. I experienced poor battery life and USB connectivity issues when I upgraded my Nexus 5 to Marshmallow.
Anybody here is an Android Developer or uses a Mac? Any problems using Android Studio debugging, or Android File Transfer, after this update?
