So I just got my CPU done and I want to get a decent budget monitor for casual gaming with great colours. I'm thinking will my rig be able to push 144hz or 1440p or better to stay at 60hz with 1080p to get the best quality.

No chance your spec is able to handle 1440p 144Hz, GTX950 is not a high end card and if you are using it for triple A titles like MGS:V, GTA V, AC series etc. you will end up mostly at medium settings for 1080p to achieve 60 FPS. As for MOBA games, Dota 2, CS:GO then no problem to get > 100 FPS.
If your budget is below RM 500 for the monitor, go for AOC I2360SD IPS (RM 499). If budget is unlimited, there are plenty of good IPS panels out there, Dell U2414H, S2415H etc. Be sure to check the screen type you need, either glossy or matter etc. |
