How many is the contain? kg.

Seem expensive. Get the ordinary cheaper for higher contain. And the normal 1 can refill somemore.

Back to 18yrs ago, did brought similar like HYPREX outlook. Macam spray mosquito. But it is white powder.

The problem is, it got expired date. After few yrs, you got to throw away if didn't use. The pressure will drop and the contain no more effective.

Ya never think of that. Dunno can expire or not.
Size is like those mosquito spray but slightly bigger

Sure got expire 1. Cause most of the thing cannot hold gas pressure for long. Slowly will leak out.

With my experience with such can spray and expired short date, not worth to buy. Even expired, I still keep for 10yrs. Lastly try it out and the pressure is low. Throw it away.

Better get the refill type which you can refill back if pressure drop. Not expensive also the refill. And it have a gauge to check the pressure. Which the can type don't have.

Here, safety product is not cheap. You need to get something that last long. That most of the time don't use at all.

Yo, this weekend, got something like home expo. Maybe got sale on fire extinguisher. Regret last time didn't buy when they offer RM80. 2day ago, check at ACE MV, cost RM122.

the ones they usually sells, leaves a white powdery mess

That is 1 of the reason that I didn't buy last time. I look for another type without powder. But no where can find and quite expensive.

I think there's a local distributor. I bought it long ago from a diver friend who knows them. Warranty is 10 years. Back then it was cheaper.

This topic make me realize that, it doesn't matter what type. As long as it can extinguisher the fire and cheap is good enough. We

1) most probably don't use it at all. With a short expired time, money fly. So get a cheap powder will do.
2) Fire already cause your thing damage. It already in a messy. Having powder on it doesn't matter anyway. You still have to clean it up everything without the powder.
3) Most of this expensive small and high tech fire extinguisher have no gauge to check. If it defect and lost pressure, we don't no. When the time need it, press and nothing happen. Get a normal 1 with a gauge to check pressure is much more safe. It is call self check safety device.
4) cheaper cost can buy more to place in your home. Rather an expensive 1 set.

Safety product here are freaking expensive. 1 of the reason why people don't buy such thing for their home.

Ex. My wife get cons from saleman and brought a smoke alarm for Rm350. I brought a smoke alarm from oversea for just RM130. And much more function.

This fire extinguisher cost US$15 and below in US. Here crazy price.

I suggest gov should give free tax and subsidies safety equipment. That encourage people to have safety device in their home.

Safety equipment here is too expensive and out of reach for most of the people.

From my history record, the chance of using it is 0.00000001%.

I pay less like RM80 for 10yrs expired. That only cost me RM8/yrs sitting in my home. And I can refill it.

Rather those expensive short lifespan type.

If you keep looking at cheap non powder type, you won't get 1.

I have same thinking as you with the messy clean. Now I wakeup.

I realize, safety equipment here are not cheap.

bought 5 of this during the homedec fair last monthat 5 bottles its bout 70 each , only downside is the expiry date, the sales say its because the can looses pressure over time, and thats the thing bout it, even those powder type needs to check pressure annually ... by law if business use

the thing which is good bout it is that its small and can keep in car ...

safety wise, keep one in car and home lah ...
*
I experience such type back 16yrs ago. That's why not to get this back again.

One of the main problem is, if you forget to keep track the expired date and want to use it that time, no pressure. Cause it don't have a gauge to see.

Powder type at least have a gauge to know the pressure and take it to refill. It is like double safe.

Beware those give fire prevention talk.

They come and give advise. Than try to sell all this fire equipment for crazy price.

I shoot them when they said cheap and should get wan.

I told them the gov should give subsidy for such important thing to help all the people own it. And you guys sell it damn expensive. How an ordinary household afford it. Tell them how fire kill and must have this thing. At the sametime ripoff people with crazy price.

Have the combo type and a normal type.

The combo can detect smoke and carbon monoxide.

I just learn that CO2 fire extinguisher can kill people. With a direct blow on the guys, can suffocated them.

That got me an idea for home security purpose. I don't need to close confront with the thief. Use the CO2 fire extinguisher as a weapon to shot on them. That should keep me some safe distance from them. This is good use for the lady too.

Must get 1. thumbup.gif

How long the house co2 tank last?

Probably 2kg discharge for 10sec.

That enough suffocated him. Not necessary to kill him.

At least for girl, they don't need to close contact to defend.

For me, my parang is ready. sweat.gif

Last sunday I went to IPC and found that they came out with a new packaging. According to the sales person, the date below is actually the warranty date and they provide one to one change if there is problem. I bought 5 units from Ace Hardware last week and the product is quite satisfying. Can feel the quality difference from those cheep fire extinguisher.

What kind of feel ? By hand squeezing it ? dry.gif

How do I find out the problem in order to get it change ? When the time fire and squeeze the can but nothing come out ? dry.gif
