Maxis Latency is not acceptable. 58ms to local server (UNIFI is 7-12ms). 200-300ms to international server.

It's fucking stupid at the moment.
Ping to singapore = 100ms. Ping to Australia = 250ms+ Ping to Tokyo = 200ms Ping to US = 220 ms (This I'll accept.) What the flying fuck Maxis? Singapore is bloody next door. When I'm using Unifi I'm pinging 30ms, yet on a maxis fiber line I'm pinging 100? What's the deal here? On Unifi I can ping 120-150 to Tokyo, yet on Maxis fiber I'm getting 200+. At one point I was actually getting 125 ms to Sydney on maxis fiber but now it's more than doubled. Unifi is now selling a 30mbps package for RM179 and gives us good pings to most overseas sites, while you guys are still gouging us on price and have some of the most fucked up international routing for an ISP. At the prices you guys are charging this kind of performance is a joke. EDIT: Problem seems to be their routing during peak time and just their routing in general. During peak I'm getting 70-100ms unstable to the world of warships server in SG. After 1am it's 35ms steady. I'm getting 170ms to the Australian Diablo 3 servers during offpeak, but 250+ during peak. With a VPN I'm getting 100ms ping to Tokyo and Sydney and 11ms to SG. Come on maxis, get your shit together. We're paying you RM140+ to have horrible ping during peak time? When we as your users come back from a long day of work only to find that we can't even play games using our maxis fiber connection it feels really fucking terrible. We shouldn't have to wait till 1am in the morning to get usable ping . This is unacceptable. This post has been edited by katavatar: Oct 20 2015, 01:44 AM |
