AirAsia has a lot of loans and high operating leverage due to leases. If recession come GG especially the bank's that lend to AirAsia.

As a company AirAsia is too entrenched in the life of people traveling cheap in this region to fail. Raya sure all flights fully booked, covid or not. Christmas too.

But that's what people said last time. "Banks are too big to fail".
For me, I wouldn't want a company managed by people who are corrupt/committed fraud because I'm not surprised if the balance sheet can be fraudulent too. This makes it hard to make decisions.

Buffett just bought shares in Delta airlines, but he got balls of steel!  laugh.gif

Buffett has the money to pump in cash in exchange for more lucrative deals.
Previous recession, he rescued Goldman Sachs and General Motors by giving $5b each at a 10% interest rate.
He also received options to convert into shares should the price go up.
These deals had to be offered because cash is king during recession and not many has money and liquidity so these companies were desperate.

Right now, hopefully someone can lend assistance to AA. Otherwise, they may need to have a rights issue.
Tbh, really padan muka T0ny and AA because they paid out too much dividends in the past 2 years.
Now short of cash, really padan muka and serve them right. laugh.gif

No no no. laugh.gif tongue.gif

You HAVE to put into context that this special dividend was paid out right after AA allowed Tony to subscribe to a special placement of shares.

That was 2017.

2018. Special dividend 40 sen.
2019. Special dividend 90 sen.

LOL. Who benefited more?

And those dividend money came from where?
