The TnC didn't bother me so much as the prospect of travelling to virus outbreak areas. Those people who bought are basically gambling that the situation will be under control, and soon. I mean realistically, how many times can you fly out for holiday lol. And it must be holiday related travel under the pass, as business travel would be impossible with the blackout dates etc.

1 more thing to consider is.. Market now is overvalued, and very irrational. We can analyse the fundamentals of a company and say how good or bad it is but one inch piece of the scrapiest news and everyone jumps a mile.

KUALA LUMPUR (July 7): AirAsia Group Bhd’s external auditor has issued an unqualified audit opinion on the material uncertainty relating to the group’s going concern, in view of the current economic condition and Covid-19 pandemic.

u know the answer la...

thousands of jobs lost, votes lost...

there have been so many bailouts, so many billions thrown out, incl so many times with MAS.

why not this one?!!

Mas is glc, Aa diff. More likely gov will grab the opportunity to seize control of Aa at this price from the two loudmouth bosses (maybe merge with mas?) while looking nice and pretty like a saviour of the company.

Ahaha for me i don't want to dominate a no profit established business la. Airlines and for the matter of fact low cost carrier, is going to be capital draining for atleast 1 - 2 years till demand goes back to peak.

If i want to drain money like that, i would rather bet on tech startup / unicorns for better returns. As the risk/reward seemed fairer in my view.

But that's just my take. Maybe some industry insider that know the business much better would want AA.

Imo the only parties now interested to sink money into airasia now would be our dear gov (to secure jobs and remove mas competitor) and possibly, just possibly other rival airlines (BUT unlikely as they are also facing severe headwinds even the mighty SIA)
