Air Asia keeps dropping, even in bull market, they cannot increase much in price. Why people are still buying this stock?

It's a bet that it will increase. If somehow they manage to survive it will go up again.
*
Well I dont know whether that bet is worth or not, I've been watching AA since 2016.. AA is by far my longest counter in watchlist. As the years go by, AA is losing its value.. day by day.

Do u own any airasia? What's your view. For long term I think it's worth it. But if u r talking bout 2 weeks 1 month damn its risky man
*
Yeah I used to own airasia back then around 2017 when it was RM2.xx then I sold it at its peak and never look back again. This counter has become a shortie counter.

for now ya. Anyway latest Fair value by Mornigstar, Im surprised they put at 1.99. wow.
Why would morningstar put it so high
*
but downtrend since 2018 to now, that's a whopping 2 years for such a large company.

Maybe when the bull goes back I'll come!

Ya its fair value is around that range as well.

1.99? thats high isnt it. I mean there are many so call experts who say its around 0.5-0.6
*
AA has a very bright future if malaysia didnt fck it up. At RM1.99 is AA's ideal value in an ideal company growth situation

has 1.99 factor in the Pandemic? I realise just a while back AA was even at RM 3 wow
*
Right now not Pandemic or not, its right whether our gov will bail them out or not.

If pandemic over (give or take 6 months) people with all their pent up MCO emotional urge to travel will cause tourism market to sky rocket.

But.. not for AA, because our malaysia gov fcks it up.

sorry how does malaysia G F it up, I dont get it.
Anyway its surprising that u said travelling will actually increase post MCO?
*
Trust me, first thing MCO ends, invest your stocks in tourism industry. Its a bag about to burst.

Msia government imposes a lot of restrictions and taxes than hinders the growth of AA during the years. Right now the government haven announces whether they'll help out Tony or not. It seems the government only wants to bail MAS out.

of course MAS will be priority. Anyway as I understand, doesnt need Malaysia G solely, he can approach any institutions he wats, ie banks and such
*
Ya but MAS is a dying company due to mismanaging.

Leisure travel will be at bottom of list in economic recession.
These travellers were returning home or work from lockdown.
Operation management and investors relationship is different matters.
*
we'll see about it, lockdown more than a month can make people do silly things like the sudden urge to travel.

True tho, this is another factor, but the ones that are slight to no effect, will do so, my gf already started looking at destinations/flights sweat.gif

There lies the issue of ppl thinking its good to buy/invest in what they see/use.

Everyone see so many ppl flying. Yeah, lots of ppl flying but how good is AA books?

Ok. How about integrity of the owner. Let's see...

1. AIRBUS and sponsorship. That was plain bribery imo.
2. Did you read about the issue with the F1 team against Tony after Tony sold his shares? So laughable... really.
3. Ah.. the plane that was painted in support of Najib. That didn't bother me cos that's his political right of choice. But what he said after that stinks....

Yeah, AA does provide good cheap flights but... they screwed up themselves. It's time for them to close shop....
*
Their fundamentals aren't really good, hence it is a shortie counter.
