My Airasia paper loss is -15%  today

What should I do???

PETALING JAYA: In the past week, the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has disposed of 7.92 million shares in AirAsia Group Berhad.

According to two separate filings on Bursa Malaysia, the retirement fund disposed of 7.43 million shares on Jan 28 and another 492,500 shares the following day.

After the disposals, EPF continues to hold 210.4 million shares, representing a 6.29% stake in the company.

This was a couple of days before allegations that the airline received a US$50 million bribe from aircraft manufacturer Airbus was reported. AirAsia has vigorously denied the allegations.

When I was reading about the RM 499 unlimited pass from AAX, I thought the situation is not just bad, it must be absolutely desperate.

Certainly would not buy the stock, but also cannot :popcorn:

I love AirAsia for so, so, so many years, would cry many tears if they crash. Maybe the stock cannot be saved, but the company must be saved.

Buffett just bought shares in Delta airlines, but he got balls of steel! 

there's little birdy saying that government might take over the debts own by AA something like that.. transfer into some SPV...

there's also another news mention about taking company private (but personally I don't think it's would happen.. huge debt who want to take private )

AirAsia and its subsidiaries around the world have reduced flight frequencies and grounded hundreds of aircraft.
KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia Group could report steeper losses in excess of RM1.1 billion in 2020, following its decision to ground its aircrafts worldwide due to the Covid-19 pandemic, according to Affin Hwang Capital.

The research firm said in a note today that the drastic move highlights the dire operating environment faced by the airline industry.

In tandem, it reiterated a “sell” on AirAsia’s shares with a lower 12-month price target to RM0.49.

A bail out does not mean at all that the shareholders will "survive".

During the years many airlines have been bailed out by their government with the company disappearing from the stock market and the shareholders did not get any compensation.

For me this is the by far most realistic scenatio, company broken, Government saves and takes and delists it, push money in and then sell.

i still dont understand why it hasnt gone down. and from what i see, everyone seems to think that this is a buyer's market. everyone is buying!

amazing...you would think that everyone would be worried but even public bank hasnt gone down. perhaps a lot of people have a lot of money

MALAYSIA’S troubled airlines could get up to RM10 billion financial aid from Khazanah Nasional Bhd, reports the New Straits Times.

Citing sources, the report said the amount would specifically be in the form of loans guaranteed by Khazanah as a means to help them cope with the Covid-19 outbreak.

Although there was no announcement in terms of assistance for airlines in the Prihatin Rakyat Economic Stimulus Package (PRIHATIN) announced by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin last Friday, the sector would need action, he said.

If you read in between the lines it's just a blardy a joke of company. Lapsap!

It actually had a shit load of a money when it started its sales and leaseback program. But instead of putting the money to good use, it decided to splash it all away by giving free money via special dividends.

Now it wants a loan from govt? Lol. What assets does AA have left?

“The government should also bear in mind that its main policy objectives should be to maintain essential air connectivity (most notably public service obligation routes) and protect vulnerable parties such as the 50,000 employees in the aviation sector and Malaysian consumers, rather than propping up the commercial performance of airlines,” it said.
