Hi,

My seiko watch's battery which runs on solar seems have died. Any recommended places I can go to change the battery? Whats the damage like? Thanks.

the battery normally wont die one

u try to charge the watch with handphone light for 1 hour, then read user manual on how to reset solar watch ... see if really rosak or not. The internal chipset has a reset function if battery drained too much.

I have a SSC015P1 that drained battery and after charged wouldnt move ... until I pull out the crown and reset it.

Thanks. Will try it out.

Watch is alive and ticking. Turns out it needed 2 days charge under the sun. Previously I only left it out for 4-5 hours. rclxm9.gif

SEIKO Prospex Sea Baby Tuna Automatic Diver's SRPA82 SRPA82K1 Watch. Not a diver in any stretch of the imagination. Just like how the watch looks. Suitable for a daily driver? Thoughts on this?

Its a beautiful watch. Its quite huge imo. I have the srpa99k1 but I don't wear it everyday due to it's size.  Why don't you go to a shop and test it on? It'll be better if u get to see the watch in person

Lovely watch you have. Yea the size it's what I'm most concerned about Will have to try in on my hand to see then. Thanks for the reply.

Yeah. Very worth it. The PADI model slightly more expensive..Rm1050 if im not mistaken. But i think SNE498 is nicer..paying homage to the Golden Tuna. More understated.

The silicone/rubber strap is nice too. More supple than the Turtle ones..because its slightly thinner and shorter. Good for smaller wrist. If anyone wanna SELL their stock SNE silicone straps..PM me please. Thanks.

This model quite similar to the one I'm looking at srpa82k1. The price is almost half. Besides the automatic movement, any else different? They look almost identical to me.

Anyone that purchase from Seiko Official store at Lazada? It seems some time they have pretty good deal..
*
Price quoted seems to be on par with physical shops such as city chain with the standard 20% percent discount. Unless u manage to get some discount store. I manage to find a shop in my hometown seiko authorize dealer offering higher discount, see if i have the time to go back this weekend to check.

They r all tuna wannabes but different watches of coz. The only thing similar is the black and gold color scheme.

SNE498 is solar powered quartz.

SRPA82 is mechanical/auto and larger in diameter. Also known as the scallop tuna or something.
*
Yea. I already have a solar. Maybe will go with the automatic.

Not sure about the retail price, but this one on flash sales seems lower than usual. (But currently out of stock)

I see. I found a carousel seller who has a shop in kajang. He mentioned his watches are under Seiko warranty. Can pm you the link if you want.

Can I have the link?

Here's the link https://my.carousell.com/p/179445774 . I haven't bought anything from him yet. Was looking for srpa82k1. He only had 81. Price quoted was the lowest for Seiko warranty. Any way no harm asking.
