Hi, its my first time in writing in the Jobs section. I did went through the 3rd stage of the GTP.

But here is the overall assessments from the beginning for anyone's reference. Sorta because they only tell you the whole thing only at the 3rd stage. This is according to their numbering system, the submission of resumes is stage 1.

Assessment 1: They screen resumes
Assessment 2: Those selected from the resume pile gets invited by both/either by BASF or their HR consultants to HELP at KL Campus for 2 tests.

Test 1: Read passages and answer true or false.
Test 2: Business Math/ Statistics analytical questions.

Assessment 3: PAPI-I Test. Its a Mayers-Briggs personality test of 100 questions. This is done at your own time and pace at home.

Assessment 4: At BASC's premises at Menara TM. Its broken down to 3 exercises.

Exercise 1: Group Presentation Exercise. 4 people at the table are given a scenario and facts related to it. 20 minutes to formulate answers, 20 minutes for the actual meeting. Discuss about the scenario and collectively come to an agreement.

Exercise 2: Individual Presentation Exercise. You have a case and facts given and you would have to present to the assessors your case. In my case, its justification on why a company's branch should not be closed down.

Exercise 3: Individual Role Play. Its a one to one meeting scenario to solve issues with a person. In my case I had to solve an individual's problem of taking too much tau huei breaks and not delivering the expected results. Of course the facts and what you need to do is given on the booklet provided. They would ask you about your department preference over tea break.
Whether if its going to be IT, Finance/Accounting, HR or Corporate Services.

Assessment 5: An interview with the head of the department that you may get based on what department you tell them that you want to join.

Then its straight to getting a job offer and the job.

I hope by writing this, it would help other fellow job seekers in the future. Though I might just reject their offer because they did say its going to be a call center job. Don't really fancy call center work after getting tricked into it in the past.

For the 4th Assessment, they brought applicants into the office itself. As I and the other candidates were being moved around, I did see quite a number of people hooked up into headsets.

A curiosity I noticed in the proceedings is that no one seems to ask for my or anyone else's resumes and cert copies at all. Well, apart from the time you submitted your resume for Assessment 1. I only sent in my resume only, so I wonder they really have the time to background check people or coz its going to be a CC job, anyone would do?

About the Call center thing, I did ask Ms. Lisa Lew of the local HR team about the job at the first test at HELP. I asked if its going to be a call center job, and she said yes. So, that's where I got the info from.

BASC's so-called "call centre job" is unlike IBM/HP/Dell/other outsourced company's call centre job

I am curious what other details do you know? Its good to let the forum goers know so that they can make informed decisions about joining BASC.
