Well, if you're looking for an FPS "experience"..... then you should go for a 5.1 system or something similar......

As the Mako is only a 2.1 system, even with all the THX technology or surround sound proxy, and can't give the total immersion experience a true 5.1 system provides.

I don't mind, because I don't play that much FPS games and would rather have a solid sound system........

True........ But that's the thing about the Barracuda, can only use their propriety connection for 1 output, ie..... if it plugs into the sound card, you can't plug in the headphones.

BUT...... you can still plug in the sound card, and use the Toslink Optical for your headphones....... according to Razer, should be the same thing.

I personally don't like to use headphones for gaming...... rather have a 5.1 setup like my Xbox360....... my PC is used more for computer stuff (and the occasional FPS when it comes along), but I watch ALOT of movies and listen to music while doing so (another advantage of the Dual Monitor setup)..... so the Mako actually fits perfectly for me.

Yeah it is, but according to Razer Guy, you can plug it into the optical port as well....... I dunno what that means.......

I use Razer products on a daily basis...... no complains from me.........

So far I think mostly Copperhead owners are complaining though........

The 3G Infrared sensor so far holds its own.

Yes.... you can turn off the light on the DA via the drivers.

I like the Death Adder because I can turn off the lights AND it feels very similar to the MX500 which I was previously using.

Too bad it doesn't come in the chameleon color scheme..... which is kind of why I bought my Diamondback in the first place!

Oh man, DeathAdder so rocks when it comes to Bioshock...... But my Diamondback is trusty enough for some Bioshock action at the office.

Too bad the extra buttons come out a little funny in the game

I'm running on my Acer Gemstone laptop with High Settings on the latest drivers (1280x800 widescreen) and it works just fine.

The Deathadder is meant to "glow".... which means the lights fades in and out..... not a continuous ray of light.

Errr.... the DeathAdder is MEANT to glow... looks damn cool in my opinion. It's not defective or a "problem"...... it's a feature, not a curse!

I guess your drank the kool-aid and conformed to the "standard lights on" mouse that the other manufacturers uses.......

Oh, and how much does an exact mat with an exact rest cost? And can it fit into a Targus Ruckus laptop bagpack? I MIGHT need one for my laptop as some places I go to doesn't have a good surface for my Diamondback. Stupid hotels with their fancy shamncy glass table tops.

And I need a mouse pad now because I will bring my Laptop to uni. I used to bring it to work where the surface was consistent, but now to uni, I dunno where the heck I'll be.

Internship loh....... just finished it and got my small allowance paycheck.
I'm supposed to spend it on food and my petrol, but heck....... Might as well get gaming stuff!

But since this is a RAZER THREAD...... I suggest keeping to the Razer theme.
And to answer all the questions on why I'm burning 90 bucks for a mouse pad......

yes, I CAN buy any other mouse pad...... heck even a 10 dollar mouse pad would do the job.... But I don't want a crappy mouse pad that doesn't look good and will tear apart the next time I use it. My credo has always been "Buy the best, if you can afford it". So if I can afford it, why settle for anything less?
With the ExactMat, I KNOW that it will last long, mouse performs superbly AND looks good..... and heck, I'm not even a big gamer..... but from my experience with Razer products, they are all good.

My Diamondback does it's job admirably when I was in the office... plus it's compact enough with it's own LAN pack so it's easy to carry around, My DeathAdder combined with my Mantis Speed mouse pad sweeps through Bioshock like a Big Daddy drilling through a Splicer, my Barracuda soundcard has given me no problems with my rig (unlike my old Soundblaster cards), and my Pro|Solutions m100 Earphones are always around either my Laptop or mostly my iPod.......

So I'm looking forwards to adding a few more Razer ammunition to my arsenal because they haven't failed me yet.

I couldn't find the 3G DB in Thunder Match...... but they had a few in All IT.... Going for RM159.

I bought my ExactMat w/ ExactRest from Thundermatch for RM85.... pretty good deal I would say....... since All It was selling the same thing for RM125!!!!!!

I'm 90% sure it's RM159.....Because I remember my friend commenting that it's only 30 bucks cheaper then the Death Adder, which is RM189......
And it was the 3G one..... ALMOST got one...... but decided that I already had enough mices.........
