@everdying
tried other mouses on the same port yet???

kraits have that problem. well, in ftz [some cafe filled with idiotic dotards who keeps slamming the mouse on the table when they get pwned or something]
i think it might have been the slamming that caused the mice to go nuts la

but what you seem to be experiencing very similar =/

QUOTE(Holyboyz @ Aug 4 2007, 12:58 AM)

sometimes that depends la, if your ears aren't trained, even azalia hd audio sounds really good, (infact, it is pretty good)

but some audioheads can hear even minute differences in frequencies, so well, no bad soundcards for them.

the mako is down firing speakers right?
if so, u better make sure ur table is hard enough to reflect the sound man

i had bad experiences with downfiring speakers
my previous vs4121 mids were drowned when it fires on wooden surface
not too bad on glass surface

i guess the barracuda soundcard only makes a difference in sound positioning only

now razer fans don't come kill me k?

the razer hp-1 (headset right?) is a usb headset right? means, it has its own DSP to process sound
wouldn't that override the AC-1 abit alr whistling.gif
should work even better with better 5.1 soundcards, afaik the ac-1 doesn't provide very satisfying music playback despite its steep price
=/

but since the hp-1 got 6 mid-high freq drivers, it should sound ok with music playback, well, i haven't auditioned them myself so....

I thought the Mako was supposed to eliminate that via the THX design?
*
I think THX is a just a certification of a level of quality. IIANM la
some say its a gimmick, but so far, among most of the THX certified speakers, most of them do perform pretty well, but some of them just aren't musical
i think it was the logitech z5500? i don't vaguely recall the model, but it was a logitech, it was pretty good sure, but lacked in some areas like staging and how it musically performed that wasn't really up to justify the price tag. but thats just me.

i guess u must a good listener or musician to notice all that difference eh ? i only notice louder sound. I am using atp3, i have no problem blasting it. The sound doesnt crack. But when my fren who is using a logitech speaker blast ed his, the sound produced cracked. That is when sound card comes in rite.
*
'm no pro in this but as far as I know, distortion comes from several factors.
The source or the hardware.

It might be digital audio was not encoded well enough and thus there are distortions during playback.
or
It might also be the speakers not being able to handle such loud volumes
or
It soundcard is unable to cleanly output the signal to the speakers.

Well, correct me if I'm wrong.

...

I've never seen a bad review in HWM
*
Indeed, I was looking for new speakers last month, and I saw the Edifier C2.1, so I went for online reviews, and the HWM gave it a 8.5 and a silver award. So I thought its really good.
Almost placed an order for it, until my friend auditioned it and said its not that great, bass being lacking in power and mids being muddy.
I really didn't put much believe (My bad really T_T), until I went to audition myself. And he was right, word by word. Bass seriously weak, mids was moderately strong, but muddy, the highs don't really extend and was a little harsh and shrill.
Ugh. I'll never take HWM reviews seriously anymore.

@Blactrix
If the "Bringer of silent death" is really the dejavu inspired R200 from my dream, you better go get yourself a Gibson ZW custom Lol.

hmm, i just upgraded my rig to amd x2 4.6 w/ asus m2n mobo...
and i notice now the double click is VERY apparent.

so i still stand by my comment that the double click is not a hardware but software issue.
*
Hmmm, if thats the case, you might be right though.
I wonder does anyone use razer mice without installing drivers ?

gah, my mouse settings and windows sens is exactly like my old rig, even same resolution everything...
but my CH on the new rig feels slightly faster...have to drop my on-the-fly sens by 0.5 to feel the same as before.
