first...we need your budget, and what u mainly use the LCD for..gaming?...graphic editing??
*
yay, thought no one is going to respond, though
thanks
anyway!
nope, no gaming, not so much graphic editing, too
just for ordinary daily use
budget about RM700
17" would be sufficient enough
thanks, again

domo_kun, not many have tried this monitor, a Viewsonic VA1703wb, a widescreen 17" LCD which I bought for just RM520. Never thought I'd enjoy reading on a monitor.
*
viewsonic, yeah, they're kinda cheap
but good ah?

if you are worried about warranty issues
just pop by compuzone then.
19" Samsung LCD is also going for RM700 or so
since you said you don't mind 17"..its lesser than that i think.

Added on April 13, 2007, 2:07 pmSorry abit lazy to check biggrin.gif

but you can sort of get the pricelist from here.

http://www.compu-zone.com/

Not sure how often they will update it.

wats the native resolution for 17" Samsung 732N? now i set it to 1024x768...
@domo_kun: i mean the text is not very sharp as my previous 15" CRT monitor...u know the words kinda blurry a bit...not sharp
*
umm, i have no such problem
did you check back with the distributor?
if it's still under warranty, perhaps can change or repair?

r u using Samsung 732N also? wat resolution u put? did u turn on the ClearType?
*
QUOTE(navilink @ Apr 28 2007, 09:58 PM)
hai...1280 is too small haha...anyway i play around with the refresh rate and when i set lower Hz...something like 60Hz, the text is more sharper...now i set at 75Hz...its more bit not sharp...
but 75Hz is the best for the eyes...no choice haiizzz
*
am using 1280 x 1024, 60 hertz refresh rate
i don't feel comfortable looking at the monitor on 75 hertz, hence i changed it to 60 hertz, instead
by the way, what's ClearType la?
