LCD TV are more expensive than LCD Monitor

Yeah, the low resolution will not tax your GC capability but it will burned a hole in your pocket. You can buy around 3 (22") LCD Monitor for the money of 1 (32") LCD TV

Analog support AGP 8x Graphic Card, DVI are meant for PCI-E Graphic Card.

If you are using AGP 8x GC there, use the Analog slot, else use the other slot

For LCD, you shouldn't go above 60 Hertz

Also, a slight 'humming' sound coming from the back of the monitor. You need to face its back, then you can hear it. This problem also exist on their 24" model. Other models does not have that annoying sound. -1 there for HP

Reviewers can either be biased or non-biased. The reason i don't think CNET review is "constructive" because they are not that comprehensive. If you want a good one, just browse the net for better one.

Why drooling ? Just saw it yesterday. This baby comes with VGA/DVI/HDMI port. Quite affordable at RM1k price range

Well, in my opinion the Asus design are not so nice compared to Samsung's glossy finish, if you are into the look type. While HDMI is an extra feature but it is not really any important unless you are planning to connect the console like PS3 on your LCD monitor. If you really do, you can get DVI -> HDMI cable for around RM50, connect your PS3 console through this cable on DVI port. You can then connect your PC through VGA port. Many people think by using VGA port, we will experienced quality. It is not true, i have used both ports and the quality remains the same.

But if you wanted to connect both consoles like Xbox360 and PS3 to your PC, you will need all 3 ports. Xbox360: VGA, PC: DVI, PS3: HDMI

That Asus model also comes with 2x USB port and additional speaker/mic slot on the back of the monitor. Our mobo already comes with so many USB port, it is really just an extras.

Unless that Dell model is Ultrasharp series, then go for it. HP new models have noisy sound coming back of the LCD. The LED light are impressive but it doesn't give good point of being noisy at night. Other brands model are all quite and silent
