u better buy the 931BW its faster 2ms and higher Contrast rate 2000:1
rather than 940BW just 4ms and only 500:1 contrast rate

ya 940bw is older model if im not wrong..... im currently using 931bw... its a good monitor for movies.... and gaming is perfect too... but just happen to be facing some difficulty on some older games which doesnt support widescreen resolution setting(warcraft 3)... overall its a good monitor with nice budget!!!......

but stil 19" widescreen is small quite small(due to longer and shorter)... so 22" wide will be more perfect...... try to get 226bw if u have the extra buck..... but for 3" paying rm350-400 more... the decision is urs...

hehe - i'm just taking up photography as a hobby so as long as the accuracy is almost there i'm fine with it. the thing is i always hear comment on the dell e228wfp color rendition but if most of the 22" wide screen offers similar kind of performance then i might just bite the bullet and go for it  blink.gif

All the 22" LCD currently use the same type of panel, i.e. TN panel. For hard-core color professionals a TN panel would not be good enough, they would prefer PVA, MVA or S-IPS type of panel and plus high gamut too as an extra.

If you're using it more for your photography hobby then I suppose a TN panel is good enough and also remember to do some color calibration on it. As you become more experienced or hard core then you can upgrade to a better panel for color rendition, like the 2407WFP-HC.

I donno bout this model but i'm using dell's earlier model which is the Dell 1907FP n to me it's good for a budget LCD, no ghosting when playing FPS, sharp color n resolution... I'm satisfied with it..

Actually, LCD prices, like every other commodity fluctuates. Last I read there was a problem with supply hence prices are supposed to rise due to a shortage in lcd panels
