Hi all, what to do with my LCD which is scratched? Any shop to fix it? Thanks.

Try sending it back to the shop you bought it if the warranty is still valid?

optiquest lcd got anything to do with viewsonic brand? same company?
*
Optiquest it the Viewsonic 'value' brand

BTW, I've seen this more then once. If you have a defect in your monitor, sending a screenshot is absolutely no use. A screenshot just records the digital image generated by your card before it's sent to the monitor. Defects due to the monitor will not be visible in a screenshot except on the actual monitor that has the defect (it's not actually present in the screenshot but obviously if your monitor has that defect it's going to show up in the screenshot). You need to take a photo if you want to show any defects.

good and nice price. Cant guarantee that it will be problem free since dead pixels are possible to occur, but at least u get to exchange 1 to 1 without stepping out from ur house

If you want detail with explanation, you go test it on your own is the best solution icon_rolleyes.gif

need suggestions - i'm looking for new wide lcd to replace my current samsung 713n. i only do occasional games bit most of the time spend on photo editing. which one to get? looking for wide screen.

i like the dell e228wfp price biggrin.gif but some sites report not so good for photos. is it true? if yes what other options? i went to LYP yesterday and looked at lcd demoed, the 20" looks sharper but i dunno if it's due to setting cos all of them running from same feed.

thanks

TN panels are not so good for hardcore photographers, but before to start saying TN panel based LCDs are no good in colors, ask urself whether ur cameras and photography equipment are able to capture the closest to reality color or not ? Whether ur jobs or expertise need u to judge the color very precisely or not laugh.gif

hehe - i'm just taking up photography as a hobby so as long as the accuracy is almost there i'm fine with it. the thing is i always hear comment on the dell e228wfp color rendition but if most of the 22" wide screen offers similar kind of performance then i might just bite the bullet and go for it blink.gif
