- Need help on finding a portable pad/tablet that can draw directly on screen (using Adobe Illustrator) -As above. I am considering between Microsoft surface 3 (budget 2k plus) but two friends said, these surface pad is not as good as laptop and suggested to get a laptop with touchscreen that can remove from keyboard, switch to pad/tablet. (like Acer Aspire Switch or Asus i5) But i am not sure if those touch screen laptop support adobe illustrator function using stylus? Can anyone advise on this? I create digital illustration using Adobe software so the main purpose is to get a light weight device that i can draw directly on screen like a tablet when i leave my workspace (like anywhere) . Thank you! This post has been edited by designer69: Oct 15 2015, 01:39 AM

I'm using Surface 3 for Java works, DB works, Photoshop, and taking notes. So it should be good enough for Illustrator too.
I heard that Acer styluses are nowhere as good as Surface pens.
You'll love Surface 3 for its weight & excellent pen.
