if your lawyer filed the CKHT form on your behalf, please ensure you get a copy from them as proof of filing and payment on your behalf.

I had a lawyer that was good as he followed up with LHDN closely on the matter and got the excess amount back within 3 months. Having said that
it could sometimes take longer than that..

you can also follow up with LHDN yourself - better to go to the counter and enquire say after one month after submission of CKHT

good lawyers will chase up for you...if lousy lawyers means you have to do yourself meaning lawyer file for you and you follow up with income tax dept

normally if you sell a house its normal to get the lawyer to file for you..
