Recently sold a house and the taxable amount is lesser than the 3% held by LHDN. Can't seem to be able to find a guideline for this process.....

Hi.... Does anyone here have experience claiming back the excess payment of 3% RPGT deposit from LHDN?

QUOTE(nookie188 @ Oct 14 2015, 09:46 AM) if your lawyer filed the CKHT form on your behalf, please ensure you get a copy from them as proof of filing and payment on your behalf. Does this means...Lawyers will be claiming the excess amount on behalf? Initially was thinking that we have to fill up some forms online like what we're doing for the income tax... Thanks for your inputs....I had a lawyer that was good as he followed up with LHDN closely on the matter and got the excess amount back within 3 months. Having said that it could sometimes take longer than that.. you can also follow up with LHDN yourself - better to go to the counter and enquire say after one month after submission of CKHT |
