Hi all sifus, sorry to revive a 3-year old thread. Want to seek same advise from TS. I'm mid-20s Malaysian, earning gross ~4.5k per month. Currently driving 7 year old Proton.

I enjoy driving, and frequent travel long distance. Looking at used 2016 320i around 100 - 120k. Current savings of almost 90k, cleared of my debts, no commitments apart for room rental, single. Is it wise to go for it?

That's quite surprising to hear, always see people complimenting Bimmer's drive and handling, especially the F30's for more recent times.
1. I always thought F30 was a driver's car? Alot of people complimenting it, even when compared to the newer G20. This should probably be another thread, but what would be a nice 2nd-hand driver's car for someone like me to upgrade to?

2. Just thought that my savings could be buffer enough for some maintenance costs neglected by previous owner, or maybe more downpayment so that can have less loan amount. 😅

BTW I'm not into modern BMWs, but rather into classic Mercs, especially my aim is Merc W140 or W211. For BMWs , I prefer E60.
