Yes... My kid was born in WP, but I register them in Selangor. Should be no problem.

A month for me and thanks to the delay, I recoup my wife's labor fee plus some extra.

I went and register my new born at JPN Pahang(Kuantan-Bandar Indera Mahkota) last year.
I got Birth Certificate and MyKid within 30 minute.

I suggest who from kuantan to go there for birth registration

Just called JPN Hotline and the latest answer to this question is:
Yes, you can register at any JPN office.

Can get the birth cert immediately, but will take a while to get the MyKid depending on the branch.

That said, the person on the hotline told me the JPN branch near my place would need 45 days to prepare the MyKid card, but I got everything settled within 2 hours.

Hi due to RMCO,

we have to make an appointment before heading to JPN for birthcert and mykid card application

but it is kind of stupid that all appointments currently are full and they have shut down many branches

anyone experience the same problem?

reason being i can't wait cos my HR insists to have the birthcert for my paternity leave appllication

by law you have to get it done within 60 days. you can either look for appointment slots at other branches, or HQ. queues are long now. no other choices available. we call it as "new normal". can't just walk in like last time.

If husband is a New Zealander and wife is a Malaysian.
Delivery in Malaysia.
What sort of documents required for birth registration and My Kid card?
And what if the husband can not be in Malaysia due to pandemic?

CHILD’S DOCUMENTS (ORIGINALS AND COPIES)
1. Birth registration form JPN.LM01 that is completed;
2. Confirmation of birth form from the hospital or certification of home birth from the midwife/doctor (original);
3. Prenatal card (maternity examination book) (original and copy)

PARENTS’ DOCUMENTS (ORIGINALS AND COPIES)

Identity cards or entry permits or passports of the parents and the person reporting the birth (originals and copies);
Death Certificate of mother and father of the child (original and copy if applicable)
Marriage or divorce certificate (originals and copies)
INFORMANT’S DOCUMENT (ORIGINAL AND COPY)

Identity card or entry permit or passport (original and copy)

This is what you need but don't know about original document if father not here.

Just need a person to register. Informant is other person than parent. They can also allow to help to register.
