Just called JPN Hotline and the latest answer to this question is:
Yes, you can register at any JPN office. Can get the birth cert immediately, but will take a while to get the MyKid depending on the branch. That said, the person on the hotline told me the JPN branch near my place would need 45 days to prepare the MyKid card, but I got everything settled within 2 hours. |

QUOTE(frequency @ Nov 19 2020, 10:36 AM) Hi due to RMCO, by law you have to get it done within 60 days. you can either look for appointment slots at other branches, or HQ. queues are long now. no other choices available. we call it as "new normal". can't just walk in like last time.we have to make an appointment before heading to JPN for birthcert and mykid card application but it is kind of stupid that all appointments currently are full and they have shut down many branches anyone experience the same problem? reason being i can't wait cos my HR insists to have the birthcert for my paternity leave appllication |
