at 1st i tot they gave out the OEM version...coz if OEM very cheap..(oversea la..)...

...it must be those multi licensce thingy......i guess its similiar wit my course last time,they distribute the keys to students,however..they have to pass around the original copy to one other (since duplicate the oroginal copy is illegal).....

anyway...congrats for getting the copy .......

i got the same problem.......

for me..it only applies for GOW and Crackdown......my other games all ok......
...currently i already bought 2nd copy of GOW.........and as for crackdown.,already have scratches a bit and it doesnt run smoothly when there is a video footage. As for gameplay,no problem.

Rite now,(for GOW)i dun play campaign anymore coz if i go to later stages,it will have more scratches....especially in Act 5.........So........i just stick wit MP.......

If 1 more game happen to me again,i think i gonna discuss wit Djinn la regarding this matter.

5 times is a familiar number to me...... ...it really sucks wei....

its not the console per se.......
its the dvd rom.....(i read somewhere in the xbox spore forum).......
this matter is so random...(like 3rod).........
...they said there is no rubberized thingy inside the bracket that hold the tray. When the tray is closed, its already generated enough vibration/movement that is sufficient to scratch the dvd. ..........
although i dunno how far is the truthfullness of this story....but i seen this in one of the xbox usa forum though...they open it up and show it............

the best place to send back is from the shop that u bought it....and discuss about it..

I did not leave the disc inside when not playing.

Every time i finish playing a game, i quit it 1st. And then i go to the dashboard. An then, i eject it.........
..IMO, there shouldnt be any complication since there is an option in the console itself where u can boot to the dashboard or boot the disc...........

so far...only the Logitech MX5000 that can use wit the 360 (that i know of..).....some users said that the dinovo at 1st can use...but few minutes later, it lost it signals....
