I want to have a spare battery on hand just in case I need the extra juice.

Does anyone know if the Nintendo shop in Mid Valley sells the battery? I did a search and couldn't find it anywhere except on Nintendo's online store, but they only ship to the US and Canada. I also read somewhere that the battery is only available from Nintendo direct.

I don't want to buy one of the third party ones - I've heard they're crap and last less than half as long as the original battery.

So has anyone who's been to the Nintendo place in MV seen a DSL battery there?

What do you do with your DS? Bring it for camping or something? Mine lasts me about 14 hours before the LED turns red and needs to recharge.

The lowest brightness. It's bright enough to play indoors.

It varies between original game and flash carts. Also between FlashMe and PassMe, also between got GBA cart or no GBA cart. Too many variables.

For me, it's around:

17 hours for lowest brightness
14 hours for second bright setting
9 hours for third bright
5 hours for brightest

Using supercard lite. Might not be accurate though for the 17 hours part, since I've been playing only Phoenix Wright/simple 2d games that doesnt eat resources much in the recent weeks
