The Reinforced Safety Structure (RESS) helped the Prevé score 34.25 points out of the maximum 37 in its ANCAP crash test, making the Prevé safer than the Hyundai Elantra, Ford Focus and Nissan Pulsar.

Well, Proton memang emphasize on safety since Preve>Suprima>Iriz. (now maybe future coming Saga/Persona/Perdana replacements too)
Don't think ppl doubt Proton's safety. 5* is still 5* after all, even if its just Asean NCAP and not ANCAP or EURO NCAP. Other cars also cant even get 5* on Asean NCAP.
Only thing about Proton is, their quality control of the materials/fittings used in the car is seriously lacking. (but then again, even locally assembled Honda and Toyota many nowadays having quality control issues like rattling, etc too) So yeah..
If Proton can up their quality control, then they will get the recognition they deserved for producing wonderful cars like Iriz, Suprima/Preve.
