One youtube video nowadays is at least 200MB. If you watch in HD or even worse UHD on some android phones, 1GB will be gone easily.

Averagely we watch 10 videos a day, thats 10GB gone, just on the phone. What about fb videos that autoplay? Whatsapp calls?

Maxis you hear? Instead of upping the game of giving us /faster/ broadband, you should be just better off giving us more quota for the price we pay.

Otherwise, just take it as it is, you just want to suck more money out of us.

Yeah. I tend to overestimate it for the sake of measuring data consumption. Well a 720p 10min video is at least 100MB. If you use the youtube app and switched it to 3G, they will automatically disable HD playback. So yes, 50MB per 10min, happy?

Take that however you want, and it looks like maxis has just made more confusing clickbait for their ONE plan by giving you 8GB. But the catch? It's 1GB extra per month, for 4 months. After that you're back to 4GB.

This is how they plan to suck more money out of you. Already did long time ago, but now just use more sly tactic, more clickbait, and more shitty methods.

More thoughts:

Think about it, there's practically no point to have 4G speeds that beats their LTE, and even lesser reason for LTE in malaysia. This coupled with such limited bandwidth quota, it just makes everyone very uneasy when the SMS comes and say, you have reached 80% of quota, after just using it for like what, 1 hour?

And when you landed on a boring YT video, but on 4G it already buffer till 50% on the first 5 seconds, or worse, a video ad from maxis that's 10 minutes long finish buffering before you can skip it (Oh and not forgetting YT glitch that doesn't let you skip long ads).

The very fact that 4G speed can reach 30mbps, which is what unifi is pushing at the moment, but that's without a quota. You cant just bring that tidak apa habit to using data plan.

What we want, is very simple. Just keep the 3G infra that you have built, and give us 30GB data on the minumin contract. Based on the fact I listed above, plus our average phone 1080p video is a waste while just casually watching youtube.

But too bad, they can't reverse what's been built. They don't realise what people want, and they only think for themself how to make more money. "We should catch up with the world, they are on 10gbps already". Sure, but with 1GB quota, I can fry that in 1 second.
