Thanks for the reply! Mass air flow sensor (MAF) determines the mass of air entering a vehicle's fuel injection engine, and passes that data to the ECU. So I believes the car has this sensor. When I gave a list of 17 items to Proton Parts Center in Shah Alam, the provide me all the part numbers. Their computer has a grouping for each car model either Auto or Manual.

The MAF sensor part # PW810694
The MAP sensor as the Proton staff calls as the Knock sensor part # PW811757

The Proton staff doesn't allows me to take photograph of the exploded view of the engine diagram so that's why I'm unable to determine the locations of these sensors.

Many thanks for your efforts bro! smile.gif

That is actually a Charcoal Fuel Vapor Canister. It is part of the evaporative emission control (EVAP) system in many modern automobiles, which is designed to keep gasoline from evaporating into the atmosphere. Rather than venting a gas tank to the atmosphere, an EVAP system can allow fumes to flow into a canister that contains activated carbon and is therefore capable of absorbing the fuel vapor. This process, coupled with the closed fuel system, can help ensure that a minimal amount of fuel vapor is allowed to reach the atmosphere.

Lol bro

Knock sensor is knock sensor. It detect engine knocking

Maf sensor for proton only available for wira/satria/putra 1.6, and 1.8. You see, in export market wira is known as persona, so that 'persona' have maf sensor.

Campro use Map sensor i know coz i have campro also tongue.gif
Map sensor is manifold absolute pressure, it send signal to ecu how much air is entering the engine. The name itself is manifold absolute pressure, so it measure pressure in intake manifold. Hence the sensor is located on intake manifold

Most car will only use one map or maf sensor.

Btw snap your engine bay here la, so we can locate smile.gif

Open the airbox where the filter is, it is usually right next to it.
