I personally only tried using Celcom LTE and their speed is around 12Mbps is KL City Center and 20 at my house(Kepong) and about 16 for Subang. I heard from my friend that U Mobile is capable to hit 35-40 Mbps most of the time regardless of location but their coverage is pretty poor.

QUOTE(kroul2 @ Oct 10 2015, 09:50 PM) https://www.maxis.com.my/en/personal/intern...ta-network.html I doubt phones with LTE cat 4 can utilize this speed. Phone with at least cat 6 are only able to utilize this speed. As this website stated, the speed around Sunway Pyramid is beyond all LTE.. Could anyone confirm? |

AFAIK, all telcos are on 4G LTE cat3 (75Mbps) at the moment except for maxis which have been doing limited trials on LTE advanced (cat6 300Mbps) on a few sites in KL (since june 2015). Sunway pyramid is probably one of the few (as I honestly dont know). Personally I wouldn't be going crazy for the fastest LTE at the moment as the goal post(s) keeps changing every 6-12 months. Rolling out just one base tower station is never cheap. Bottomline, fastest LTE at the moment doesn't mean much if one is limited to 1GB fair usage quota monthly ..... |

It doesnt matter which telco has the fastest speed, what matters is where your location is and which telco is the best for your location.
At my house I can get Celcom 4g, I once got 69Mbps for download speed and 20Mbps for upload speed at 1am. At my workplace I got Umobile 4g, it barely hits 2Mbps for both upload and download speed. This post has been edited by marlick25: Oct 11 2015, 09:39 PM |

I personally tested all
maxis is the fastest among all. I jus subscribe celcom data last week and the speed is making me wanna cancel it... 4G just manage to get up to 10-12mbps at full bar but my maxis easily shoot up to 30-40mbps at the same location .. |
