recently there has been a lot of people come in this forum..simply create an account to open nonsense thread and advertisement thread..

is it anyway to forbid newbie to create new topic when they 1st started their account..maybe after 2 hours only allow to create topic..or maybe until certain post count only allow to create topic?

i think most of the newbie come here and become member is to asking some question in techinical support or asking question in software/hardware problem...

if let them cannot create thread...
then dunno what will happen...

but i suggest that need email verification of that member before he can create a thread
if they make any ads thread
then suspend their account

E-mail verification is already in place when you create your account.

but if someone didnt have email verification
he/she can leave post or create thread??

If I had not mistaken, if they didn't verify they can't post nor create new threads.
Only a place I know Guests can post is in Main Site/Forum Feedback and Helpdesk.

imo this is a problem faced by many forums. even if you forbid them for 2 hours, they just create 10 accounts with 10 ghost emails, wait until tomorrow and start spamming

if we forbid them to create new thread, its kinda hard too. coz lyn threads are purged after some time and they can't find what they want to ask. or e.g. they wanna post some 'first look' in hardware or some latest issues in RWI...

i think if forbid to create new topic then allow reply shd be ok...or maybe restrict them to create topic in certain area...

so if they want to create an account just for their advertisement and nonsense topic..then..it shd create some barrier to stop them

Regular or Newbie is just a member title that doesn't make any difference.
